My first car purchase from a dealer was in 1984. I've purchased cars both new and used from a couple dozen different dealerships since then, from Georgia to North Carolina to Virginia to Illinois to Texas. In all those years and all those purchases, the only buying experience I've had that was as good as what I had at Round Rock Nissan was a Ford dealership in Durham NC 33 years ago. There were *no* hassles, *no* pressure, *no* surprises, *no* nonsense. If they treat their other customers the way they treated me -- and there's no reason to think they don't -- Round Rock Nissan is absolutely the place to go.

The salesperson, Kimberly Tooke, was outstanding, as was the finance manager Lee Jenkins. No pressure, no hassles, they didn't waste a minute of my time or theirs. Lee offered a Nissan-backed extended warranty which I initially turned down because in my experience extended warranties are almost never worthwhile. But after I got home and thought about it I decided it might be worth paying for after all. It's a Nissan factory warranty that covers the vehicle bumper to bumper for 100,000 miles. So the next day I went back to the dealership to see if that could be added to the loan. Lee Jenkins was off that day and Kimberly directed me to Jim Chote. The loan paperwork hadn't yet been submitted to the lender so it was no problem, Jim Chote fixed me right up. Jim was as low-key and forthright as Kimberly and Lee. He revised the loan agreement and I was out of there in about 15 minutes. It's possible Kimberly, Lee, and Jim were outliers, and everyone else there at Round Rock Nissan plays the usual games trying to squeeze every last dime out of their customers, but I doubt it. More likely it comes from the management and the ownership. My understanding is that Round Rock Nissan is owned by an entity called Group 1 Automotive which owns a large number of dealerships across the country. If this sort of treatment of customers is standard practice at all the dealerships they own, they are definitely doing something right. Kimberly, Lee, and Jim deserve whatever kudos and bonuses y'all can give them. They reflect well on Round Rock Nissan, and by extension Group 1 Automotive.

Called to check on a repair status on my car that was
Called to check on a repair status on my car that was dropped off by the towing company, Dealership had no clue where the car was. Had to call back to tell the gentleman to go look in his lot and finally he comes back saying oh yes sir it’s here. Brand new vehicle less than 2 years old, broke down in the middle of no where at Sonora TX with a check engine light on and a malfunction sensor. Billed me $501 for a part that should have been covered under warranty. When asked the repair sales guy, he laughs it off by saying it’s a defective part.

The service was great! They go above and beyond to ensure that the customer is happy. Raphael even moved my truck because of oncoming severe weather with possible hail under a covered spot.

Frustrating having an appointment to have oil change only
Frustrating having an appointment to have oil change only to be told that the time is “check in” time . Had to wait 2 hours for an oil change !! What is the point of arranging a time ! Oil changes don’t take that long! An appointment should be the time the service is to be done ! Very disappointing indeed!
