My wife took our 4Runner in for an oil change.

My wife took our 4Runner in for an oil change. I was informed by the inspector that the brand new battery terminals need replacement from corrosion. I just installed them 5 days prior. I was informed I needed to do a battery check as an extra ($30) but the package we scheduled already had a battery check being done. The service guy Ray was rude about us not ordering tire from the dealership.

My experience on Saturday, Feb.

My experience on Saturday, Feb.8 was the worst experience at this dealership and one of the worst at any dealership. I had an 0800 appointment for an oil change on a brand new vehicle. It was its (the vehicle , a Toyota) first service ever, so nothing that would be very involved on a Saturday. I didn?t leave until around 1:00 PM. It began with the check in process. I arrived at the dealership and then am told I have to wait by my vehicle for the assigned service technician to come see me. He is apparently busy, but there were multiple other employees all standing around, but none said they could help me because I was assigned to someone else. It took 10 to 15 minutes of waiting and finally I get my vehicle processed. I asked how long it would take for the service and I?m told around one and a half hours, typical of an oil change and tire rotation. Multiple hours go by I can?t get an update from anyone and the vehicle is just sitting outside. That goes on and on I get no hint and no uodate from anyone. I get no acknowledgment that is taking a long time. No one offers any type of an apology, no one comes up to help (all the other employees there) ignores the customer. The vehicle finally begins its service and the service employee finally gives me an update. They find a small nail in the tire, which I had asked them to look at. I had noticed the air pressure falling on that particular tire. He gives me a quote for the price, which is around $500 for one tire and he tells me if I can find a better price, he will price match the service. It takes about five seconds to put in the tire size and find a better price on the Internet with other local competitors. This is where the argument begins with multiple employees. I present my price to the service technician who has to go to the parts person who has to go to the parts supervisor, and they all seem to not want to change their pricing. Your business model clearly puts departments against each other. One tells me I made up the price when I?m clearly showing him the Internet on my phone. The other wants to argue with me that it can never be right. The other says that?s below their cost, all while we?re standing in front of multiple signs in the dealership that say, you will price match any competitor. I let multiple employees know in both parts and service that I wasn?t happy and they finally come back with a printed copy of a price from another local competitor and we agree on that particular price. The work gets completed and the bill is presented to me and it is for the original price again. I argue this again with the service person and he tells me that even after I agreed with the parts supervisor on a price, they decided that they weren?t going to honor that and I had to pay for the original price. This is bad business to the worst degree. You can?t agree on something and then change it on me after the service work is done. This is a scam. This is bait and switch and this is not how any dealership should operate. I have to spend more time with multiple employees before the price is altered, but again it is not changed back to the original price that was agreed-upon in front of multiple employees. I finally get to check out around 1 o?clock. It took five hours for an oil change and a tire rotation with an 8 o?clock appointment. I don?t plan ever to go back to this dealership. I will be happy to travel to Charlotte for service and to purchase another vehicle to avoid giving Rock Hill Toyota any of my money. I own another Toyota that has been going there for years for service and this has been my worst experience and one that will keep me away forever. I do not recommend them to anyone.

Very pleased with both the buying process and the service

Very pleased with both the buying process and the service visit. Employees seem happy to help. Maintenance visit was quick. Loving the van. New to the hybrid experience and have become a huge fan.

Everyone was excellent and nobody wasted my time. Service and repairs were explained throughly and performed in a quick time frame.
