Redirect your business elsewhere. We were conned by Marcos and Karl -- be careful. Marcos and Karl offered us a price on a car that they said would not change (in writing!), so we spent money on a pre-purchase inspection with a third party mechanic, which Marcos and Karl knew about and agreed to. The inspection cost me $175. This inspection revealed some problems with the car, including that the main control knobs for the screen don't work. Karl and Marcos came back to us saying they would fix the issues, and we said okay. Then after a day they told us it was actually too expensive to fix, and they could no longer honor us the same price. A little disappointing since they said the price wouldn't change, but we understood to some degree. We asked, though, that they at least refund our inspection money since they're using the knowledge from it to fix the car and sell for a higher price. We contacted them several times offering them a chance to rectify this. They ghosted us. We've reported them to the BBB and want to warn you not to work with East County if you are looking for an honest experience.

As a generl manager of a superstore, Karl Albright or

As a generl manager of a superstore, Karl Albright or Carl Albright whatever his oficial name is should have the management ability to act as a manager and handle customer in a professional way. Not sure how he got to this position but he is definalty not qualified as GM of a dealship. No wonder the rating in this store sucks. The leadership is weak, the GM is cone artist and the way they treat their customers is beyond horrible. If Masood Khoroshi as president of East County Preowned really wants to keep his doors open, he must eliminate this GM.

Thank you Tony for your review,  It is not a surprise that you left a bad review after hearing the way you speak to others on the phone. Your language of choice reminded me of a child in elementary school trying to show off for the other kids in class. Or as a brat throwing a tantrum because his mom told him he could not have any candy at the store. As adults we can disagree without name calling and vulgar language. If my hanging up on you due to the way you were speaking with me is an indicator of how you do business, I can only assume you have had many short conversations in your life. We do thank you for the opportunity of doing business, but we respectfully decline to do business with you from now or into the future as your temperament is not what we would expect from a customer. I think this dealership states on their site that they were rated high as an independent car dealer. Well, I don't know how they got that. I think this is wrong, these people don't even have the courtesy to call people back. I think if you are not a top tier credit person, they will just ignore you.

I had a great experience with James.

I had a great experience with James. As a first time car buyer he was patient and very knowledgeable of the entire process. He was not pushy and overall has a great sense of calmness that every car buyer needs. James made this a memorable experience hands down! I highly recommend James Duque.
