My daughter thought she purchased a vehicle from Hampton. She was excited for her first big purchase and her first vehicle. We didn't take car home when she was financed because we needed insurance on it. Our salesman asked if I had my insurance showing shes an eligible driver, I provided it. The Monday we went get vehicle. She showed her salesman proof of insurance. He looked at it and handed her the keys. We left the following day to see my son off for his deployment. When time to pay her note came, the bank wouldn't answer, put her on hold or just hung up. She texted salesman and he told her wait a couple days, she should get welcome package. The day after note was due I called finance company and demanded to talk to supervisor. They had no account for her. The Monday Dustin called us to go back to Hampton. While on way he called to tell us we will be happy, he got us a better deal thru a different bank. We signed papers, she left in her car and I left in mine. 20 mins later, she calls me saying Jami called her saying she didn't have insurance for 2 months, finance company didn't accept proof of income that she needed to bring car back, she's driving a stolen vehicle. She then put Dustin on the phone and explained the salesman never made a copy of her insurance just my insurance with her as a driver. I told her no, we were running late for work that we will contact finance company and provide what they need. Fast forward to the Friday, Jami called our place of employment and asked if we were in. When we arrived at work, I returned her call only to be transferred back and forth to different people. Next thing that happens is a tow truck came to WORK and took her car. She put $3300.00 down. Hampton sent her a check for $1990.00. They charged her for milage, the tow truck, and detailing it. She had the vehicle for 52days. She did everything right. She put money down for insurance and paid 2 months insurance. They ruined her first time buyer experience and cost her $$$. She's a single mom. Shame on you all!

Hey there, we are sorry that you had a bad experience with your purchase. I reached out to our management team and they let me know this incident happened some time ago. Unfortunately, there was an issue with your paperwork at that time and the car was mistakenly given out before proper authorization and approval was received from the bank. We understand that instances like this are of no fault of yours, however we do have to keep track of our inventory. The car was unfortunately never fully sold, thus it needed to come back to our inventory. It is our understanding that you were contacted multiple times at this point and never brought the car back. This required us to have the vehicle towed unfortunately. We do apologize for this and hope that we can earn your business in the future.

2 different finance companies, how can you not be financed after 52 Days? Briley put down $3300. Plus spent 2 months on full coverage insurance. Yall robbed her when yall sent a check for $1900. She was contacted once and she cleared up the insurance thing with Dustin. Im sure going to let everybody know our experience and how yall kept her payment. The Attorney Generals office is next.
Thank you for admitting no fault of hers, we have a year and a day correct. Im sure you are aware of her lawyer serving the letter. She will be contacting him again to further this.

I worked with Elijah, Jamie and Kyle mostly and I truly was dreading the experience after you find your vehicle. It normally takes so long to do paperwork. They kept it to a minimum and I appreciate that. I went one afternoon so they could see my trade in and thought I did a little of the paperwork but the ball was dropped and none of the paperwork was actually completed so when I went back to pick up my vehicle, I had to the paperwork from start. I picked a 4 Runner that was instransit and it actually came in early so I was excited about that. I love my 4Runner and I highly recommend Hampton Toyota

Hampton Toyota has an awesome sales department.
Hampton Toyota has an awesome sales department. The service department on the other hand is a joke. Brought in our 2020 Highlander for having shakes when the brakes were applied. They told us that they would shave the rotors. Once we got the vehicle out of the shop, it still had the same shake. Brought it back in again took the shop foreman for a ride he acknowledged the shakes and a problem with the rotors. But now want to charge $1000 to replace the rotors. Got tired of being jerked around by this shop, so I brought it to another shop and was shown by the mechanics that the rotors were never shaved. Now there are no shakes when the brakes are applied and was only charged $50. It’s a shame that the mom and Pop shops are so much better than a certified dealership service department.

Chai was absolutely wonderful during the process of purchasing a new vehicle. He is very patient, tentative, and kind. Any questions/concerns I had were answered in a timely ,respectful manner. Chai was always a single call away if needed. I purchased a 2022 Camry XSE in Windchill Pearl White. I’ve had my Camry for 6 months now and absolutely adore it. The best choice I made was to buy from Hampton. I 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a new vehicle. Super big thank you to Chai!

Buying fromHampton Toyota was a great experience. I was in and out in an afternoon. The staff was incredibly helpful and my salesman, Blake, made the purchase incredibly easy. I haven’t met a more knowledgeable salesman. He knew I’ve been searching for a manual Corolla XSE for a couple years now and contacted me the second it was coming off the truck for me to get the dealership and start my paperwork. I’ll definitely be going back to him for my next purchase. Can’t thank him and the Hampton team enough for the easy experience there.
