To avoid
Salesman was great, sales manager are really bad as well as financial manage. Service is taking extremely long, with no visibility on when car would be ready. I highly discourage people to go there.

Deliberately Deceptive. Bait and Switch.
Bob Rohrman VW hit me with a bait and switch yesterday. I drove 90 minutes each way after confirming twice in 4 hours over the phone that they had the cars I wanted to see. On arrival, I learned that they actually had none of the cars I wanted to see, and may have had one of the three earlier in the day. Nobody expressed any concern over wasting my time or deceiving their customers. Today, they still have 5 VW Golf GTI's listed on Cars.com that they told me to my face they didn't have yesterday, and weren't even allocated to the dealership. They're also emailing me to ask when I can come in to see these cars. The fact these are still listed tells me they didn't make a mistake. They deliberately deceived me to attempt a bait and switch.

Unbelievable
bought a car from this location late Jan 27-28. I didn’t pick up the car until February 1 because I financed through my own bank. That process was ok. I did pick up the car late in the evening so the next morning I noticed food still on the car from the previous owner, even a mouth guard or retainer on the passenger side or the car. They had more than enough time to clean this car. And the fact that I was told the car had been for sale for over 30 days is even more sad that the car wasn’t even cleaned. Secondly i mentioned BEFOREHAND that it was a sound on the right side and to have it checked out before I picked the car up. This was not done Turned out that the wheel bearing needed to be replaced. Upon getting that fixed from another dealership they found 5900 worth of damages on this car during inspection. That of course the warranty doesn’t cover!!!! Somehow vw of gurnee did not catch these damages or failed to disclose this information Unbelievable either way!

Poor treatment when trying to buy a Jeep Cherokee
I was pressured into making a deposit on a car I like to hold the car or the could sell it to someone else on Saturday, the next day. On Saturday they called and said that if I didn't come in to finalize the deal they would sell the car to someone else. I told them to sell it. After all I dont want to do business with that kind of people. If the deposit doesn't hold the car what is the purpose other then trying to make you feel like if you don't move forward you will lose something. Not very professional. I will never shop there again.

Run Away - No help if something goes wrong
We bought a 2014 Tiguan from the dealership with 14,800 miles on it. This was a dealer-owned car and had been in their possession since 2014. When we discovered the tires had dry rotted and needed to be replaced, the dealership gave us the runaround for over 2 months, and then refused. We had traveled out of state when the damage was discovered and could not make the 700-mile drive back on the dangerous tires. We had 2 mechanics and a tire dealer tell us the tires were dangerous to drive on. We took pictures and got signed documents from the tire dealer attesting to the danger and the damage. When the general manager did finally connect with us, he refused to say it was their fault or that they would reimburse us. He even admitted that the damage happened while the car was under their ownership. He finally offered a meager $100 worth of service as their form of reimbursement for us having to purchase and replace all 4 tires. The staff were incredibly unhelpful. I would advise any and all who are looking for a Volkswagen to go anywhere else. If something goes wrong, they will not help.

Bad service
The new vehicle I purchased had a chip in the front bumper that the dealership stated they would repair it took us reaching out to them multiple times and two trips to make that happen. Today again horrible communication they did not notify me my vehicle is ready I had to keep contacting them once I arrive they said your keys are at the cashier you can pick up your vehicle no one took the time to go over the repairs or even wash my vehicle. After having the car three days my car looked terrible oh yes third pair was done.I will be sending an email to the CO JR Rohrman.

Unprofessional and Rude
We went there looking at their Jettas; they were not knowledgeable and did not know much about VWs. There is also this guy called Ricardo Muffler or something like that; if he approached you, look the other way and run. A weird dude who was unhappy that we stopped by the dealership; technically somebody took us to his office and I think that made him unhappy or maybe he had a bad day but that does not justify to be rude to costumers.

Every sales scam/gimmick in the book
The dealer had advertised cars at a great price. We came in to look at one car, and actually decided that we wanted to get a larger, nicer car than we had initially planned which they had listed in their inventory. Our first visit, they couldn't find the keys/car, so we made an appointment for later in the evening, and were ensured the car would be ready and prepped when we returned. We return later that evening, and immediately are ushered to a different car. We were given the story that the car we are looking at was "out as a loaner." We were told that it would be back the next day, and we should probably consider putting down a deposit, because there were at least two other people looking at the car. Our acknowledgement that we had submitted those inquiries online were assuredly dismissed, actual people had come in looking for that car (sure...). We left, planning to come the next day, and requesting that they call us if the car had been sold to save our trouble. We returned the following day, and after waiting unnecessarily (I saw the salesman standing in the lobby when we pulled into the parking lot, he conveniently was "with another customer" by the time we got into the lobby. When he did finally emerge, he had the gal to say he had some information, the car had been sold TWO WEEKS PRIOR. The sales manager running this place is a joke if he considers this a way to develop customer relationships. He was feeding the salesman these gimmicks to try an keep us on the hook rather than being straight with us. We told them early on that in addition to this vehicle, we were looking at purchasing an Atlas next year, so if they treat us right, they could enjoy two sales. I have never felt so misled during the car process. I will be purchasing from one of their competitors this weekend.
