Do Not Trust this place, they are dishonest. The Initial Salesman Tyler Noack was excellent. He had the vehicle I wanted and contacted me to let me know. I put money down to hold it and since I as out of town, drive to Amarillo to pick up my new truck. He was sick on the date of pick up and handed me off to "Thomas" to finish the deal. All went smoothly until I discovered upon my return that the Gooseneck ball and tie downs were not in the truck. I had Purchased the truck with the High County package including the Gooseneck/5th Wheel Package. Initially Thomas denied that I had the Gooseneck/5th wheel package, telling me that I only had the "Prep Package, which was according to him did not include the hitch only the hole in the bed. I went and looked at the truck and it did in fact have the hitch receiver and I was lacking the ball and tie downs. I texted him a picture of the window sticker which showed not a "Prep" package but the gooseneck/the wheel hitch package. I provided him with a picture of the gooseneck ball and tie down kit from the Chevrolet website and which is described on that site as the "Gooseneck Hitch Package" He then said he spoke to his Manager and "I'm going to go to pats and get one ordered for you" He asked if that was the only thing keeping me from being completely satisfied. I responded that I believed so. He then texted I'm gonna have it ordered for you, I will let you know when it cones in and either we will have it shipped to you or have someone deliver it to you" I thanked him. He then texted that when I get a severe to please put completely satisfied that they had been told that anything less would result in the salesman being fired. At that point I would have done so once I got the hitch, because that would've been the truth. I texted him the next day asking for the proof of ordering he had told me he would send and asking him to either ship the ball directly to me or to my local Chevy Dealer. He responded as follows: "I just spoke with my manager as to why we are having it delivered to us first and his exact words are “I am getting him a $325 hitch for free, the 5th wheel gooseneck package does not include a hitch, the hitch is separate. But because we want the customer to be completely satisfied I am ordering him a hitch for free in exchange for a completely satisfied survey so when we get the survey back completely satisfied I will ship it to him but not until then.” He then said if that is a problem to let us know and he will cancel the order." As you can imagine, I was shocked that a sales manager would essentially blackmail me for a positive review I was inclined to give freely. I let Thomas kn ow I would not be filling out a review until I received the part and my sale was complete. He told me he would send an invoice of the order and a picture of the ball once it came in. The next day he sent a screenshoot of a part order screen and a photo of the ball and tie down. I asked him to send me a tracking number for shipping.he did not respond the next day. Two days later he sent the following: "Sorry for getting back to you just now I was off yesterday.  My manager will not send that hitch until we receive a completely satisfied survey.  The reason for that being we are giving it to you for free.  He had me print off the window sticker pic you sent me.  Then we went on Chevy.com to configure the vehicle similar to how your truck is.  As you can see the gooseneck/5th wheel package is included with the high country deluxe package and the hitch itself is separate from it. If your had a hitch it would be under the z71 off road package and there would be 325 charge right there.  That is why we are not sending until the survey comes back completely satisfied" He then sent picture of a different truck and claimed that my truck did not come with the Gooseneck/5th Wheel Package. I called to speak to his manager and was transferred to Thomas. I let him know that I would not be filling out the survey until Wednesday January 26, and that I wanted him to send the hitch I had been promised. He said he would have his manager call me. His manager, by the name of Barnaby called and in a very unprofessional manner essentially reiterated what Thomas's Text said, that is, that he would not send me the hitch until I completed a survey that said I was completely satisfied. I was again surprised that a sales manger would conduct himself this way. It was quite honestly unhinged. All he had to do was send me the hitch I had Pais for and all of this would've gone smoothly. I let him know that he could send me the hitch or not, that I would be filling out as many reviews as I could and that I would be honest in my evaluation of him and the dealership. I asked him directly if he thought that withholding the Gooseneck Hitch Package unless I gave them a completely satisfied review was honest and if that was honorable. HE did not respond. Of course not. It was the most unprofessional and slimy action I have experienced in 40 years of purchasing vehicles. If these two are representative of Autonation Chevrolet Amarillo, I would not recommend Autonation to anyone and will share this experience with everyone who ask how I like my truck. Car Salesmen often have a bad reputation, but I have been happy with the salesmen I have dealt with in the past. These two are dishonest and should be embarrassed by their conduct. I love Chevy trucks, but these two are a stain on the Chevy brand

Great service

I was driving to work one morning when another motorist motioned to me that one of my tires was going flat. I was close to Plains Chev so limped in they took my car in and said they would change the tire out for me. I asked for them to do one of their multi point checks especially the antifreeze as we are going into the winter. They brought me to work, called me later in the day with the results. The tire was not damaged and they were able to fix it. Everything else check out ok. They came and picked me up from work & took me back to the service office to settle up and pick up my car. I bought my car new from them in 1999 and they have kept her going all these years. I'm very pleased with the service there. When I get ready to let my "baby" go I plan to shop there.

Great service!

My family and I were driving home to Denver from Ft. Worth on 4th of July when our brand new, 2021 GMC Denali broke down. My husband and I were stranded in the middle of no where with our 4-month old baby and dog. We had the car towed to the nearest GMC dealership which was Autonation East in Amarillo. Because it was a holiday, they were closed and so we left the vehicle there. On Tuesday, July 6th we received a call from our Service Representative, Stephen Martinez. Stephen told me that the car was in the garage and his technician was starting to tear into the engine to understand what went wrong. Because it was under warranty and obvious engine failure, he informed me that it would take some time (about 2 weeks) for his technician to diagnosis the problem. He said he would keep me updated every step of the way. Once they had found the root cause, they informed GMC. GMC was extremely difficult to work with however Stephen continued to offer great support and service. When we finally received guidance from GMC, Stephen pushed to get our vehicle repaired as soon as he could. At this point we were a month without our vehicle with little to no help from GMC. Stephen and his team understood our frustration and decided to take control of the situation. Stephen and his General Manager, Jimmy Allen found a driver to deliver the vehicle to our front door. After a very long and frustrating process, we were so thankful to have their help and support. Stephen has become a friend, and I am so grateful for his communication, honesty and support.

Professional and top notch customer service

A.D did a fantastic job with answering all my question's and was up front about everything if he didn't know the answer he would immediately say I don't know but let me go find out, that is hard to find these days specially in a car salesman. I am very pleased with the service and my new Silverado.

Terrible service

Don’t buy anything from this dealership, I bought a used 2014 silverado about two weeks ago and the back of the driver seat was broken but they told me the day I bought it they would order the part for the seat that day and then they called me a few days later and told me to bring it in so they could see what part to order so i did and by then the transmission started making a knocking sound so i told them about that when I took it back in and was told I would have to make a service appointment to get it diagnosed so i did and dropped it off the Thursday afternoon before my appointment on Friday and was told the seat would be fixed and the transmission diagnosed Friday so i waited until Saturday and didn’t hear from them so i called a little before 4:00 because their website said they were open until 5:00 on Saturday and the person that answered told me she would check on it and put me on hold and then apparently went home for the day because I was on hold for 30 minutes and finally hung up and tried calling back but no one answered so i called the sales department next door and was told the service department closed at 4:00 so Monday afternoon I drove all the way across town to check on it and they hadn’t even done anything so while I was waiting in the office the service guy took it in the shop and put the part on the seat and came back in and said his transmission guy listened to the truck (not checked fluid pressure and all the things he had told me four days before when I dropped it off that he said would take a couple of hours to do) just listened to it and said that when gm changed the fluid pumps from a gear type to a vane type pump that’s normal and they all make that noise and when I told him that my cousin has the exact same truck and other people i know have silverado trucks the same year or newer and none of their trucks knock like that he said that right now gm is paying $150 an hour for warranty work so it’s in their best interest to find something wrong so if his transmission guy says there is nothing wrong then there is nothing wrong (I guess I should mention that the truck came with a 90 day 4000 mile warranty) and that’s when i got up and left because I can’t stand for someone to sit there and lie straight to my face. So I guess I will take the truck to a real transmission mechanic to find out what is wrong with it and see if they might be able to fix it after a real mechanic tells them what to fix
