First, we really enjoy our Mazda CX 30. It’s been a good car for us and the service at Tom Bush Mazda is excellent. Sandy in the service department very pleasant and helpful and the work gets done in a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend Tom Bush Mazda for your next car

I can’t begin explain how much I am hating this dealership right now. I normally work on my own cars, but my 2013 Mazda Miata had an issue with the motor on the power hardtop so I went to the dealership to have it fixed. Well, a week+ later I finally get my car back with a bill of $4600+. I ask for the used parts, but they can’t produce them. That’s ok, sometimes that happens but it’s important. I get my car back, and have a trip planned where we leave on that Friday, but the second time I put my top down I get the exact same issue as before. I look at the motor and it doesn’t appear to have been changed. So I take it in, they diagnose it and lo and behold the parts they put in were ‘faulty’. I have to cancel the first part of my vacation so I leave on the following Wednesday instead of Friday and drop my car off for them to get it fixed. Expectation is I pick the car up Tuesday evening, pack, and leave early Wednesday morning. Nope. After a bunch of calls and trying to get someone on the phone I’m told that the car won’t be ready until ‘after lunch’ on Wednesday. I’m supposed to be 500 miles away Wednesday evening - so now I’m going to be paying for rooms I can’t cancel because they are wanting to ‘make sure it’s right’ - unlike the first time. If you did the work the first time, you’d already be familiar with pulling the interior pieces, removing the top, and replacing the motor, not taking extra time. Everything points to them charging me $4600+ for a repair they may not have even done. I can’t prove it, but everything they’ve done certainly suggests that’s the case. The only question I have is do I wait, eat the reservation costs, cancel my entire vacation (for even more money) and miss out on the 30th anniversary of Miatas At The Gap, or leave in the courtesy car and rack up 2000 miles over the next couple days and return on Tuesday of next week? Why not leave this review on Google? Because I’ve already talked about the bait and switch issue I had a few years ago with them there. And if they’re this bad at both sales and service, well… never again.

Responsive to inline inquiry; provided the most competitive price for the exact vehicle we were looking for. Sales process was fluid from start to finish. Jose and finance were very easy to deal with.

This past weekend I went to Tom Bush Mazda to look at cars for my daughter. I worked with salesman John Stribling who was very informative and very helpful. John was able to show me a few Mazda CX-5's which were certified. John got me an amazing deal on a certified CX-5. We picked up my daughter's CX-5 at the dealership this past Monday and my daughter loves her new car. Thanks to John and Tom Bush's finance team of Gino and Jeremy I was able to get a great car and deal for my daughter. I will surely by my next car from Tom Bush!

Buyers Beware I had an extremely disappointing experience with Tom Bush Volkswagen that I feel others should be aware of. I purchased a 2015 Silverado and provided all requested documentation at the time of sale so they could process my Ohio registration. I was told there might be a slight delay since I still had a North Carolina license, which I understood since we recently moved to Ohio from NC and have had a chance to get an Ohio license . However, things quickly went downhill. I flew in to pick up the truck on December 19, and since then it has been one issue after another. My first temporary tag expired on January 16 with no update. After reaching out, I was issued a second temporary tag and told they were “working on it.” That second tag expired on February 22. Only then was I told I needed to resubmit documents—and that getting an Ohio driver’s license would “help.” I immediately went and obtained an Ohio license and resubmitted everything on February 25. Now the truck has been sitting undrivable for over two months due to their failure to complete the Ohio  registration process on their end.  Meanwhile, I’ve been making loan and insurance payments on a vehicle I legally cannot drive. Communication has been just as bad. Multiple calls and voicemails to Jeremy have gone unanswered. Calls to the General Manager, Jim, have been dismissed by simply transferring me to voicemail without even a conversation. Completely unprofessional. At which point I had to call with my number block to get Jim the General manager to even answer.    If you’re considering buying from this dealership—especially out of state—be very cautious. The lack of follow-through, communication, and customer service has been unacceptable.

Dealer response

Billy, I’m very sorry for the prolonged registration issues. We take your concerns seriously; to make things right, we provided a refund and stayed in direct contact (calls and texts) with you to resolve the matter. That said, we recognize that the delays and difficulty reaching our team should not have happened, and we are addressing this internally. Thank you for your patience throughout this process. We truly appreciate your feedback and enjoy your Silverado.

Consumer response

Thank you for responding, but I need to correct the record. The “resolution” offered was a refund that amounted to only a fraction of a single loan payment, while I made two months of loan and insurance payments on a truck I could not legally drive because your dealership failed to complete the registration process in a timely manner. That refund did not come close to making me whole. As for “staying in direct contact,” the only reason there was continued communication was because of my persistence in calling, emailing, and texting repeatedly just to get answers. I was often ignored, pushed aside, or left without responses to half of the concerns I raised. It very much felt like once the truck was sold, my business no longer mattered. The delays, poor communication, and lack of urgency created a situation that should never have happened. Based on my experience, my advice to anyone—especially out-of-state buyers who need the dealership to handle registration correctly—is to look elsewhere if at all possible.
