Disappointed with my 2025 Honda Pilot Elite and the
Disappointed with my 2025 Honda Pilot Elite and the dealership experience. At just 2,200 miles, the liftgate stopped working — turns out, it shuts down “by design” when it gets too hot. I live in Yuma, AZ, where it’s over 110° for months… so the liftgate doesn’t work much of the year. This was never disclosed at purchase. Also had issues with the stereo cutting out, doors not unlocking, and no loaner vehicle offered even though this is my only car for work and hauling kids to daycare and sports. I had to file a BBB complaint to finally get a response from the Executive Manager. He was polite — but still called me Michelle instead of Melissa, even after several emails and a phone call. Nice enough people, but I expected more accountability and transparency when spending this much money. If you’re considering a Honda Pilot or this dealership, ask lots of questions — especially about how it handles extreme weather.
