John, I understand back in 2021 there was an issue with the engine thermostat not operating properly and triggering an engine light. I can understand your disappointment in doing further repairs in January 2022, but based on the information from codes and our technician’s diagnosis, this was a separate issue with a thermostat housing. Each repair has a 12 month parts warranty and we certainly don’t want you to have to experience repeat repairs. - Bob Hook III, General Manager
Sounds like you don't want to take responsibility for a bad repair 700 dollars in September.then January 800 dollars for same type problem thermostat housing replacement. Replace thermostat first time. 1500 for a thermostat problem .John mitchell

I bought my first vehicle at Bob Hook in 1993. I was 18. The salesman was the reason I kept coming back through the years. Whether I purchased a vehicle, test drove, or referred, my experience was because of that trust that was established between myself and that person, not the dealership itself. I only dealt with him when I came to the dealership. My experience this time was very different, but only because my friend has retired and I didn't know anyone else there but when I came across a car on the internet for sale at Bob Hook , I didnt hesitate to call. I spoke with the friendly rep that told me to ask for Bill upon my arrival, a Bob Hook veteran salesman, I recalled seeing through the years when visited, offered a sense of familiarity. Of course he was friendly, laid back, helpful, and without the b.s. I never felt pressured nor haggled and we were able to work a deal. My credit is not so great, but they were able to get the financing that was reasonale for my financial terms. The sales, management, and finance team, and the dealer mechanic, all proved to be pretty freaking great. They went beyond the basic protocol of any dealership to assure that my requests were heard, addressed, and dealt with. I had an issue with the car itself, and I did not purchase any extended warranty, so they are under no obligation beyond the finalization of the sale, to fix problems that may arise. However, it had been 2 days and I just asked that they look at it to see what it was. They did and honestly, they fixed what appeared to be the issue. This is a circumstantial incident that I'm certainly grateful for BUT,it is not company policy, I am not promoting that any other situation would be obligated to act in the same nature, as this was a unique isolated incident. I am only sharing because they recognized my concern and acted on it accordingly. That shows INTEGRITY, honorability, and reputablity. I would definately recommend BOB HOOK CHEVROLET. Ask for Bill, my new fav. Salesman. No haggle, no pressure, no b.s.
