Toth Buick

We leased 2 Buick Encores from Toth on the same day. Our problem was that we needed an Suv larger than the Encore, but Buick could not find one in our price Range.

unfairly treated customer

Just had the WORST experience ever at Toth Buick in Akron- Arlington Rd. WOMEN ARE NOT TREATED EQUALLY!! I saw the vehicIe on cars.com I was interested in. I showed up at dealership, drove a vehicle, sat down with salesman and he started the paperwork to purchase vehicle. Meanwhile the owner (so he said) drove my trade-in WHILE another salesman ( by the same last name) let another potential buyer ( a male) drive the same vehichle I was sitting down doing the deal on. They all returned and then my salesman was called into the office with the owner, the finance person and the other (Toth) salesman to which my salesman ( who's last name is not Toth) came back to tell me that the other "guy" is paying asking price. I was like what?? I haven't gotten any paper put in front of me- I was not too concerned as I said to my salesman "well we are still first in line right? I can pay asking price too right?" My salesman disappearred again and then came back to tell me they sold it to the guy that drove it after me!! WHAT THE xxxx?! REMIND YOU -- I drove the van first and sat down to write deal while Toth let the other "guy" drive the van I am trying to purchace. Not a normal way to do business ANY normal one would think. The salesman of course was not happy, he also lost my sale. But the salesman with the name Toth who took his male buyer to drive the van I was writing the deal on got the sale?! Is it becasue I am a woman that they think they could do this?? OBVIOUSLY!! But here's the worst part - Not once at any time did the owner or finance guy walk out to appologize, so I approached them hiding out in their office and asked them if this is how they do business. Here's their reply....."every once in a blue moon this happens." Really, I find it hard to believe that reputable dealers let a car get purchased out from under the person sitting in the seat writing the deal on that same exact vehicle. NEVER AGAIN Toth Buick in Akron/Green on Arlington Rd, Never Again !! That was Two hours I will never get back- DONT WASTE YOUR TIME going there!!

D.M., This was a tough situation and I'm sorry you had a bad experience but I'm not reading anything that would suggest you were treated unfairly because you are a woman. The "once in a blue moon" comment was my brother saying that it almost never happens that we have multiple customers wanting to buy the same vehicle at the same time. Therefore, it's not an easy situation to handle and no matter what you do, someone is going to be upset. The customer who ended up buying the van had sent his father in law here the day before to look at the van. The customer then drove up from Cincinnati that day to purchase it. The other customer said yes and decided to purchase the vehicle before you did. I'm sorry the timing didn't work out in your favor. This had absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that you are a woman. We went with the customer who... A) had been working with us since the previous day... B) drove 3+ hours to come purchase the van and C) said yes first. The sales manager who took the deal is a husband and a father of four daughters and is anything but sexist. He is a great guy and it really upsets me that you'd accuse him of that when nothing occurred that would suggest such a thing. I really do apologize that we don't have a better system to handle a situation like this. Like I said, this almost never happens and you have to take it on a case by case basis. We are a good group of people running a family business that takes pride in doing the right thing, however, the right thing is not always clear cut and evident to everyone involved. -Nick Toth

I thought my sales person Chris Cooper was knowledgeable about what he was doing in what I wanted and worked to get me what I needed

Best car buying experience ever!

This was the best car buying experience that I ever had. They gave me a great price up front and answered every question I had. There was no pressure at all. They also have some great service values that come with each new car.

GREAT experience!!!

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The used cars seemed nicer than some of the other lots I looked at. I would definitely buy here again.

I hate everything about cars

I hate buying or servicing any of my cars, so when it?s time to purchase or just get a simple oil change, I Love Toth Buick GMC. I have always been treated well and I will continue to bring my business to Toth. Nowadays with all these big corporate dealer groups, it?s great to know you can still go to a nice family owned and operated dealership. I hope one day my kids will still be loyal to the Toth family. Keep up the great work!

Great People, Awesome Ezperience
