⭐ 1 Star Review – Vann Gannaway Chevrolet, Tavares FL My wife and I stopped by Vann Gannaway Chevrolet in Tavares, Florida today to look at a truck on their lot. The salesman we spoke with was actually great — polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. During the conversation we mentioned that we had a 2007 Jeep Wrangler X, 4x4, 6-speed manual transmission in excellent condition with only 103,000 original miles. He told us the dealership really needed clean, low-mileage used cars and encouraged us to bring it back for an appraisal. We returned with the Jeep, they ran the VIN, test drove it, and inspected it. After all of that, the dealership came back with an offer that absolutely floored us — $4,000. That’s not just low, that’s insulting. To be clear, this offer was only about one-third of the lowest Kelley Blue Book value for a Jeep in excellent condition. Here’s what they undervalued: • ✅ 2007 Jeep Wrangler X – 4x4, 6-speed manual (hard-to-find setup) • ✅ Only 103,000 miles – very low for the year • ✅ Perfect interior and exterior – very clean, well cared for • ✅ Brand-new BF Goodrich LT 305/65R17 tires with excellent tread + matching spare • ✅ New black soft top with clean green exterior – great curb appeal • ✅ Sony stereo upgrade with backup camera • ✅ Upgraded bumper with Badland 12,000 lb rope winch + remote • ✅ Blue Ox tow bar – motorhome ready • ✅ Extras available – roof rack and rooftop tent for overlanding/camping This Jeep is in outstanding condition — ready for highway driving, off-road adventures, or RV towing. A fair offer would have at least respected its value. Instead, what we got was a lowball offer at just 1/3 of Blue Book’s lowest excellent-condition value. While I can’t say enough good things about the salesman personally, the dealership’s trade-in practices are not customer-friendly. If you plan to sell or trade a vehicle here, especially something like a Wrangler, SUV, or clean low-mileage vehicle in Central Florida, expect a very low offer. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling insulted and disappointed. Based on this, I would not recommend Vann Gannaway Chevrolet in Tavares, FL to anyone looking for a fair trade-in value.

After years of doing business with Vann Gannaway service department I am disappointed and dismayed with our recent visit. After a more than $500 repair bill, a service report was not provided, nor was an accurate diagnosis provided. Elsewhere, a certifed mechaninc verified Vann Gannaway essentially ripped us off. Yet, they smile broadly while essentially stealing your money.

I have to share that my husband and I truly had the best car buying experience at the Vann Gannaway Chevrolet in Tavares. (I didn?t even know it was possible to enjoy car shopping!) Tom our sales specialist was fantastic and helped us into our dream car!! Other local dealers did not have the same quality, hospitality, or kindness. We are so grateful for Tom and Justin?s guidance and transparency through the whole process. We couldn?t recommend this dealer enough!

Vann Gannaway Chevrolet car service is by far one of the best I have ever experienced. Not only were they friendly and thorough, they went out of their way to make my weight pleasant. I will be back for all my car service.

Great experience , friendly salesmen and clean dealership. Everyone was helpful and courteous. Even though I was the last person there they were still very patient and helpful.

I was very impressed with this dealership in beginning but not so much now !!! I did not buy my 2021 Siverado from them because I did not live here. Have extended service contract on truck and they honored it , but now they do not want to because it takes 2 weeks to get their money. So WOW you are that hard up for money !! Now extended service contract company says I will have to take to Ford dealer for oil changes and such . WTH ??? Think I will have to let someone at GM know about this ridiculous problem. And I would buy new truck from Van Ganaway but dont know now . Very disappointed at this point in this dealership!!!

I had an issue that made me uncomfortable to drive. What I thought would be a days long project runed out to be done within the day.

As always we get the scheduled service completed with no issues. It been this way for us for over 10 years. We?re treated as family and feel appreciated each time.

I'm in Delray Beach FL, 3.5 hours from Vann Gannaway. The local dealers that had or in transit the Trax were tacking on bogus fees of $2k-$3K over MRSP for dent protection, extra dealer fees, etc in addition to the standard prep fee of $1K. I refused to pay over MSRP. Someone on the Chevy trax forum recommended Vann Gannaway and many reviews mentioned Jayme as salesperson. I called him and I honestly didn't believe there were no additional fees and even the dealer's prep was only $484. He emailed me the info, had a yellow trax in stock, and within the week I wired the $, drove up 3.5 hrs and drove back with the yellow trax. Transaction was flawless. Too bad we don't live closer. I HIGHLY recomend this dealership !!!! And all the employees there were so friendly. I'm also from Long Island, NY and this was by far the best dealer experience ever.
