Dissatisfied customer

I purchased a 2015 Toyota RAV4 in March. When I drove 5,000 miles, I took it in(at a different dealership) to have my tires rotated. They performed a multi point inspection as well. They showed me the cabin filter which was black and pine needles(I don't live by a pine tree). Clearly it was not replaced during Don Woods inspection before selling the vehicle. Then I was also told I needed new tires and brakes. After just putting 5,000 miles on a vehicle, these should not have to be replaced! According to the carfax, a multi point inspection was completed. Clearly that was a lie! I've talked to Rick Taylor(service manager). He made it sound like he was going to do what he could to make it right. Needless to say, he never called me back. Instead they had Chris Simms(salesman) call me. He wanted me to bring my car in so they could look at it. I offered to bring it in on June 8. Chris stated that wasn't a good day. He also stated that he would call me back the following week to set up a date to bring my car in. That was 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard from him. Through my experience at Don Wood dealership I've realized that they don't care about their customers nor do they care about their safety! They also lied about doing a multi point inspection! I chose Don Wood because this is where my dad always purchased his vehicles and trusted them. I definitely will not be purchasing another vehicle here! I've looked at reviews on their website and noticed that I'm not the only dissatisfied customer with similar issues(service and inspections).

Purchasing an XSE CAMRY

Dealt with Steve Coon as usual. He has sold us 5 cars and 1 truck. He has always met our wants and knows exactly what 2 get.

Service, Service, Service

Never have a problem at Don Wood. They are fast, thorough, friendly and accommodating. When your vehicle is completed and ready for pick-up they even back it into a parking space which makes it a lot easier for the customer to exit a car filled parking lot safely. It may seem like a small detail but it demonstrates their thoughtfulness. Good team in the front of the house and back of the house. . I've purchased 6 vehicles from Don Wood for myself and my family over the years, this alone speaks of my satisfaction. I don't intend to go elsewhere.

Fixed issue, definitely cares to make the customer happy.

Had to wait 4 hours to do paperwork

I was initially told 1 week ago that the vehicle was sold. Only after calling several times was I told it hadn't been sold. I went and looked at the truck and took it on an overnight test drive. I agreed to buy the truck.My approved loan was completed via phone and the salesperson stated the paperwork would be ready to be signed when I arrived at 12pm. At 2 pm I was still waiting. The salesperson said he was busy with another customer and couldn't help me even though I had an appt. with him. At 3 pm I asked the sales manager to help and his response was "what do you want me to do about it'? At 4 pm I finally started the paperwork and was done by 5pm. They said they couldn't wash and vacuum the $33k 2016 Tacoma that I just purchased. They told me I could drive an hour back down there Monday to get it done though! Absurd! After washing it myself, I noticed a nice dime sized ding that went all the way down to the bare metal. I contacted the manager and he wasn't receptive of doing anything about it. Had the vehicle not been filthy dirty it would have been seen and addressed at the time or before purchase. It was my first car purchase and it was dreadful. I visited many dealerships and this was by far the worst and most unprofessional one. If I had it to do all over I would have just walked out after the salesperson that I had an appointment with, told me he was too busy for me. Come to find out from the finance mgr., the salesperson didn't even notify her of getting the paperwork ready.

Great experience

My last experience with a car dealership was not a pleasant one, so I was leary about this, but my experience at Don Wood was everything the last one wasn't. I was acknowledged quickly and the salesperson, Jeff, was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and thoroughly explained the buying process as we went through it. The woman who did the financial paperwork seemed as excited about my purchase as I was. She explained all my options and let me make the decision that was best for me. Definitely a pleasant experience. Very impressed.

Overall very good experience.

I purchased a used car here and had a very good experience. I found Don Wood online because of their large online listing inventory with many photos and good prices. I drove 2 hours from Charleston, WV to deal with them because their listing prices were generally 10-15% below local listings for similar cars. Drove away with a great car at below blue book value. I have some credit issues, and with a decent down payment they were able to find me financing at the low-end of my expected interest rate bracket. They sell a decent number of cars to West Virginians, so they even handle WV tax and tags themselves like they would for an Ohio resident. I already had an idea what I wanted due to their online listings, so in about 3 hours I looked at cars, took a test drive, had (problematic) financing secured, signed papers and was driving away in a very good condition, low mileage, few year old car. Overall, a great car buying experience. I would recommend to friends or anyone.

car buyer

better than most. salesman intouch with people, didn't treat me as if I was stupid like logan store. will be back when looking to by again. this was my second buy at athens store.

No Return on Stock Parts that don't Work!

Tried to order parts for an old Toyota door assembly. Gave sales person the VIN number and description of product that was needed. Upon receipt the product did not fit the door assembly. In fact, there was no product even similar to the part that was shipped in our door assembly. We tried to contact someone for a return but only had 5 days per the receipt to return the item. After mailing off the item they called back and said it was not returnable even though it was a stock item and did not fit our vehicle. I informed them we had already sent it back to be in the five day window and their answer was too bad. I guess we are out the $86.00. I would not recommend buying parts from this dealer as they are very difficult to deal with if you receive the wrong part (even when the sales person looked up the asked for part).

Hi Cindy, Thank you for your feedback. We are located in Ohio and you are in Oregon. Are you sure you have the correct dealership? If so, our policy for return parts is 14 days from date of purchase. The only time parts are not returnable is when they are Special Order from Toyota. In this case we are not able to return them either. We regret your experience and always strive to satisfy our clients.
