I delivered my vehicle at the appointed time and was promptly greeted by the service advisor. The attendant promptly protected the driver side interior... in preparation of service that included oil change, filter change, lubrication, electronic diagnostic check, and tire rotation. Vehicle returned to the service desk office and findings reviewed with owner.

On April 29th I made the mistake of trusting a car dealership (Bennett Chevrolet) to be honest and fulfill its word/commitment. I know better and this... will be a life lesson I will pay for 72 months and carry with me for the rest of my life. Here is what happened. I stopped by to look at 2019s and possibly to trade in my 2018 Chevy Equinox, keep in mind I have not bought a brand-new car since 2011 (it was ironically a Chevy as well) . Typically, I buy used cars with 5k to 20k miles on them because of the cost savings but we had purchased a used 2018 equinox in 2018 with 19K miles and we really enjoyed. We put 15K miles on it in 5 months and now the warranty was about up, so we were considering buying a new one. My salesman David Strong seemed like a decent enough young man and had a low-pressure sale pitch, I was satisfied his approach and decided to do business with Bennett Chevrolet . They did not have an AWD vehicle on their lot, but I was promised one could be located at another dealership and brought there same day for delivery. I agreed and was convinced/encouraged to complete all paperwork immediately so I could take delivery on new vehicle same day. It had been a pleasant experience and I failed to see the great harm I would soon suffer. I went home for lunch and was called around 4pm to come get my new car. I excitedly took the keys to my new car. My wife and I got in and as we left parking lot, we noticed a buzz/vibration/noise coming from shifter knob, it?s a 40 mile drive back to the house and I called Bennett Chevrolet from the road and told them of the issue, they told me it was almost closing time come back tomorrow they would make it right. April 30th at 8 am I was at dealer and took David for a ride, he agreed there was a problem and could hear the noise. So, I dropped the vehicle with service (I was going out of town for work and would be gone 5 days). I told the salesman I would not take delivery of this vehicle if I was not made right, David gave me his full assurance all would be repaired. While I was gone I waited 3 days and finally reached out to service department by phone and spoke with Mr. Wit for an update, he told me they could hear the noise but had no idea where it was coming from or what was causing it but they had ordered a whole new shifter assembly from transmission to column and would replace all of it if necessary. On Friday May 3rd I got a call back from service department informing me that all parts had been replace but noise was still present, further they advised GM was aware of noise occurring in some 2019 Equinox but at this time there was no solution and it could not be fixed. I called sales and spoke with a manger Anthony and Denise in customer service, all who told me sorry come get your broken new vehicle. I asked for a replacement vehicle they told me NO too much paperwork because they had already registered the VIN , I asked them to take it as a trade they said they did not want it and said we would have to order another AWD and it could be broken too. I told them I would not accept this vehicle, they informed me I had signed a contact and owned THIS VEHICLE, I remined them my contract was for a new (properly working) vehicle. They told me take it up with GM or my lawyers. Been a Chevy man for my whole life, I have purchased 10 new cars in my life and all but one was a GM, this will be my last.

Excellent service and product. Waiting area was clean, well stocked for customer's relaxation until service was completed. Was told step by step what... was going to happen.

The first time I called the dealership for my strut they told me to go to the shop where my lift was put on my truck. Even though I purchased the truck... from them with the lift on it. The shop told me I had to go to the dealership because they were factory struts so I called the dealership which is right across the road and so did the shop and told them what was going on. They told me to come back the next day and they would fix it. When I came back they looked at it and said they had to order a part and that I’d have to come back the next day. So I wasted a day of my time because they wanted to try and pawn off the work to someone else. Even though they are the ones who had the extra work done on the truck before I bought it. Then the second time I brought my truck in for a separate issue my truck was shutting off while driving. Primarily my power steering would go out when coming to a stop. When I brought it in the service guy was very rude I told him I had a video of what it was doing and I thought there was a loose connection. He seemed to think I was wrong and the video wouldn’t help. He made it seem like I was making it up. So when the mechanic looked at my truck he came and asked to see the video. After that he found that this issue had happened before in this model and it was a bad splice in the wire. So he said it was going to take at least half a day. So I work midnight shift so I am unable to drop my truck off and wait all day to get it fixed so I would need a loaner car. I was told that they only have 3 loaner cars so I would have to wait to get my truck fixed until a car came available. I have been waiting a week now and all this time my power steering could go out while driving. I would not recommend taking a vehicle to this dealership to get serviced.
