My name is MSGT Robert Simmons, and I’m with the 165th ASOS attached to the 165th airlift wing in Savannah, GA. I’m writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service we received at J.C. Lewis Ford regarding one of our F-350 Super Duty trucks. Back in January, we brought the truck in because the heat wasn’t working, even though the AC was functioning fine. We suspected a blend door issue and received an estimate for $4,510.40. Unfortunately, due to our unit’s funds being frozen at the time, we were unable to proceed with the repairs and had to retrieve the truck. As a small special warfare unit with no dedicated maintenance personnel, we rely heavily on your team for support. Recently, after a Ford representative provided an AC class for our base maintenance, we brought the truck back in for further inspection. To our surprise, the issue was resolved in less than an hour with just a simple hard reset of the PCM. None of the extensive repairs that J.C. Lewis had recommended, including dash removal, blend door replacement, evaporator assembly, or adding antifreeze—were actually necessary. This experience has raised concerns within my command, and we are now seriously questioning whether we should continue using J.C. Lewis Ford for future maintenance needs. I’m bringing this issue to your attention directly, as I believe formal action is not necessary, but I felt it was important to share this experience. Very disappointing because we have gotten very good service in the past.

I had the pleasure of purchasing a vehicle from Ashley & Alana over at JC Lewis Ford back in December of 2025. It was a very good experience, all in all. Communication was great, replies were almost instantaneous. I made the trip from Louisiana to Savannah to purchase a F150 Platinum that was fairly difficult to find elsewhere. When I arrived at the dealership, the entire staff was very professional, and welcoming. The entire transaction took very little time, from when I arrived, to when I finished in financing, and drove off. Though it is quite a distance from me, I would certainly consider purchasing a vehicle from them in the future if at all feasible. I recommend you stop by them before shopping other dealerships (I had communications with several during this process... some downright awful, so it was refreshing to walk away having a pleasant buying experience). Very happy with my truck, Ashley & Alana, Nichole in financing, and the process, as a whole. Thanks again!

I took my car in for service. I was told I had to leave it. They didn't called me. So I called them 2 days later. My service personnel (Ashley) was not available, so I left a voice mail voice. I called every day for a week to speak with someone. I was finally told she was on vacation. I decided after a week to go see what was going on. Ashley show up to give me a price of the repairs. There were no apologies from Ashley. Just saying I was on vacation. So, JC Lewis stop service if someone goes on vacation. Someone should have called me back with status of my car. Very poor service. I brought 4 cars from this place. I will ne ver buy another car from them again.

If i could give them more than 5 stars I would! Our whole experience was nothing short but amazingly exceptional! David McCalla was the most genuine, real, driven, for his customer person! Definitely one of a kind. The finance manager and Nikki who finalized everything we also a pleasure to work with. These 3 people went above and beyond when it comes to customer service. And we cannot thank Mr. David McCalla enough! Highly recommend!!!

I WOULD LIKE TO SPECIFY IN THIS REVIEW THAT ALL PARTIES TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE WERE MORE THAN PROFESSIONAL AND TREATED ME LIKE PART OF THEIR TEAM. I JUST PURCHASED A 2020 EXPLORER FROM THE POOLER STORE FROM MEGAN O'RIELY AND I CONTACTED HER TO LET HER KNOW THAT I FOUND A OIL LEAK COMING FROM MY REAR AXEL AND 2 OF THE TIRES ON THE CAR WERE WARPED AND THE TIRES WERE SEPARATING AFTER ONLY 3 WEEKS OF HAVING THE VEHICLE. SHE IMMEDIATELY TOOK ACTION AND GOT ME IN TOUCH WITH PATRICK KENNEDY WHO WELCOMED ME TO THE SAVANNAH STORE AND THEN TOOK ME STRAIGHT TO THE SERVICE TEAM AND HAD ME CHECKED IN AND SET UP WITH THE LOANER. I WAS THEN INTRODUCED TO JOHN GOTTLIEB WHO DID THE WALK THROUGH AND GAVE ME GREAT AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. THIS IS WHY I AM GIVING THIS REVIEW 5 STARS. THEY FIXED MY OIL LEAK AND PUT TWO NEW TIRES ON THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME THE DEDUCTIBLE, AND COVERED IT ALL UNDER THE BLUE CERTIFIED WARRANTY. MY ONLY ISSUE IS I WAITED A WHOLE WEEK TO GET THIS CAR DELIVERED TO ME, DUE TO BACK ORDERED WINDOW AND I FEEL THESE ISSUES SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT DURING THE INITIAL INSPECTION OF THE CAR AS THIS WAS SOLD AS A FORD BLUE CERTIFIED USED VEHICLE AND I AM SURE THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE SOME TYPE OF (100 POINT INSPECTION PROCESS) DONE BEFORE SELLING THE VEHICLE. I recently visited JC Lewis Ford to explore the 2025 Ford Escape Hybrid, and I had an excellent experience from start to finish. DJ and Sam were my sales associates, and they were friendly, professional, and incredibly thorough throughout the process. They offered great pricing upfront, with no pressure or gimmicks. What really stood out was their willingness to let me take the vehicle home for an extended test drive, which gave me time to really evaluate whether it would be the right fit for my family. Ultimately, I decided not to move forward with the Escape—not because of anything lacking in the dealership experience, but because Ford’s current hybrid lineup doesn’t include a 3-row SUV, which is something I need for my growing family. I also already own a 2017 Escape, so I wasn’t sure the newer model would offer the added space and flexibility I was looking for. I ended up purchasing a Kia Sorento Hybrid elsewhere, but I can’t say enough good things about JC Lewis Ford and especially DJ and Sam. If Ford releases a 3-row hybrid with higher MPG in the future, this dealership will absolutely be my first stop. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a friendly, customer-focused car-buying experience!
