I would give zero stars if I could.

I would give zero stars if I could. Wescott Mazda’s customer service is a complete failure. The service department never answers the phone, never returns calls, and leaves you completely in the dark. It’s like they go out of their way to avoid helping you. They charged my girlfriend for a diagnostic, then said they needed to do another one—with another charge. No explanation, no resolution. Just more money and no answers. But the most disturbing part? They let her drive off the lot without verifying any proof of insurance. That’s not just irresponsible—it’s dangerous. In California, that’s a serious violation of basic dealership responsibilities. It put her, and others, at risk. The entire staff seems disengaged and untrained. Communication is non-existent, and no one takes accountability for anything. If you’re thinking about doing business with Wescott Mazda, don’t. Take your time, money, and safety to a dealership that knows how to treat people right—like Mazda of Kearny Mesa, where we’ve had a completely different, far better experience.

Recently got a new CX-50 lease at this location.

Recently got a new CX-50 lease at this location. They would only somewhat match, but not beat, 2 other dealerships where I had solid quotes. We decided to go with Westcott after all and the evening of pickup, salesman by the name of Eduardo did not disclose to us that the vehicle came with a cargo package ($110) as optional equipment. You know the net you can buy on Amazon for $20? We didn't realize it until getting home and reading over the sticker price, in the glove box. The next day I reached out to Eduardo stating we weren't told about it and clearly didn't want it otherwise we would have searched out for it specifically. He basically said tough luck. We clearly let him know during the buying process that we didn't want any add ons (factory added or dealership added). He knew but never told us. I kindly asked to return it as the cargo net and cargo blocks are still in original packaging. Nothing was ever "installed" as he claimed. Shady practice. I'm still waiting for the GM to get in touch with me with this issue. We won't be back and recommend going elsewhere!

Horrible buying experience

I would have given them 0 stars if allowed. I purchased a new soul red CX5 and had the most horrible experience ever. I was lied to and treated poorly by a salesman and the manager. When looking at the car I inquired about zero percent financing and $1000 off the sticker price and was told I could get both. The story changed when the salesman was drawing up the paperwork. He told me he made a mistake and you couldn’t have both. He has been working there for about 20 years to my knowledge. After that fiasco, I had to go into the financial managers office and was told that it was my lucky day and he was offering a year of free oil changes. I stated that I had not heard of anything like that from Mazda. After reviewing the paperwork, I saw that the manager had added a maintenance package without my consent. I told him to remove it. After arguing and exchanging some choice words, it was removed. These people are liars that can’t be trusted. Do not go there. Do not buy the Soul Red Mazda without researching all the paint chip issues with this color…Beware

Mazda servcie

Oskar was exceptional! Fast and great service. Was in and out in lest than 1.5 hours. Also was able to fit me in right when I called so no need to wait for an appointment for many days as happens with other dealerships. Thanks

Integrity does still exist in auto sales

I had been to a couple of other dealers, between trying to sell me $4,000 in dealer accessory add-ons, and not applying my trade in equity properly to the deal, I felt that I could not trust them. I was so glad to deal with Eddie in your sales dept.. He stood by the numbers in an online quote, valued my trade fairly, and I am now a happy Mazda owner. Thank you Westcott for operating a Low Pressure, Honest dealership.

First time Mazda owner

I had never been to a Mazda Service Center before. Since I could purchase vehicles, I have always owned European cars. As a first time customer, I was amazed at how awesome the experience was. The customer service is at Westcott Mazda over at National City is top notch. Both the parts and service department go out of their way to give customers a top notch experience. While they may not have all the thrills and frills (Expensive sofas and snacks and such) of the super expensive dealers, they certainly make up for it in genuine customer service. They put forth a lot of effort ensuring the customer is happy. Their mechanics, by what I saw are always working, and not socializing or wasting time. They value your time and aim to get you in and out as soon as possible. They genuinely want you to be happy about being a Mazda owner-I certainly am! I will be coming back to Westcott Mazda for sure.

Car Buying Experience

The dealership was topnotch. Edwin went above and beyond to make sure we purchased the car we most comfortable with. He gave us suggestions and advise, but was in no way pushy what so ever. After we decided on the car the process was absolutely painless. So quick and professional. I would recommend Edwin Vasquez to anyone who is looking for a new vehicle. Fantastic place, great customer service !!!
