Overall the purchasing experience was OK at best. However, I was not happy with my Trade Value and with the Finance Manager discussion related to annual APR percentage. Finance Manager told me my APR was 7%, which I thought was too high, but decided to move forward. I trusted him and we quickly breezed through the contract/paperwork. Once I arrived home and reviewed the contract, I noticed my APR was well over 7%, closer to 8%. I was disappointed in myself for trusting him and not reviewing the contract in detail prior to signing it. I'm not completely satisfied with the overall experience and on the fence for whether or not I would recommend this dealership to another person.

I have purchased a dozen cars spanning back to the 80's.
I have purchased a dozen cars spanning back to the 80's. I have always associated the process of buying a car comparable to having teeth pulled. Naturally, this time was no different, especially since I was trading up from an 2008 (bought new), so it has been a while. I was so impressed of the longevity and for the most part the many dealers I dealt with a long the way, that we wanted to stay with the Suburban in the Chevrolet family. It still did not change the feeling of apprehension as we began the process. We were looking specifically for a bench seat with the Gideon (NOT black) interior color. We had put 2 different orders at 2 different dealerships in 2 different States and a build date was never picked up after 2 and 4 months of waiting respectively. At the end of the day we were lucky to have found one at Mike Bell Chevrolet (MBC) in Carrollton, GA, about 90 miles away. It was not the black exterior color we sought, but none the less we were happy to find our primary 2 needs. It was an absolute pleasure going through the process with MBC, from the first phone call interaction with Jenn Blair which required several back and forth conversations by phone and email. Jenn was professional and responsive to all requests and walked through the requirements and necessary documentation required for the closing. The next day I was greeted by James Davis at MBC as I was parking. I can not say enough good things about James, we spent more than 4 hours together. He presents well, is respectful, professional, friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. Taking in all the information about the operations of the car was like drinking through a firehouse. Knowing I would probably have questions or concerns after spending time on my own, James gave me his cell and told me to call, send pictures with any questions at any time. I have owned businesses over the years from 15 to 300 employees. James would certainly be someone I would seek to be in my employ. MBC is lucky to have someone of his integrity on their team. To round out the process I interacted with Jordon Bell the sales manager and Lyman the finance manager to work out last minute glitches. The entire process exceeded my expectations by a long shot. More than ever the purchase of an automobile these days in a big investment for any family, and I truly felt appreciated at MBC. I will certainly recommend MBC to anyone who is seeking an honest dealership with which to do business. Thank you

I would NOT recommend this dealership. They do not honor agreed upon prices. I recently attempted to purchase a vehicle at Mike Bell Chevrolet in Carrollton, GA. I proposed an offer to purchase the vehicle in writing via email and it was accepted via email. After paying appx $190 for a pre-purchase inspection I began to sign paperwork for the vehicle and this is when the sales representative notified me that they would not be able to honor the offer that they had agreed to earlier that day. I still have the email chain showing the accepted offer. After discussing the issue for several minutes, I agreed to forgive the internal miscommunication that they admitted to and requested a refund for the cost of the inspection. The finance manager refused because it was completed at an independent auto repair shop (Goodyear). The next day I sent an email to the CEO and I also sent a copy of the email through FedEx. I received no response and I am still out of $190 plus the gas that I used to drive to the dealership which was an hour each way.

Stay Away – Horrible Experience After the Sale I recently purchased a used Ram 2500 from Mike Bell Chevrolet, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Within three days of owning the truck—and after driving it less than 100 miles total (just the trip home)—the check engine light came on, along with a warning for the electronic throttle control and a fuel filter issue. The truck ultimately wouldn’t even start due to a dirty fuel filter. What makes this worse is that the fuel filter odometer said 100%, clearly not reflecting reality. This was never disclosed to me at the time of purchase. When I contacted the dealership, I was met with rude and dismissive behavior, especially from the service manager, who claimed the truck was “working fine” when they had it—despite admitting they never actually drove it. I asked a reasonable question: if a fuel filter needs replacement every 10–15k miles, why wasn’t it checked or replaced before selling it to me? The response? “It’s not our job.” Completely unacceptable. Now they expect me to pay out of pocket for a serious issue that happened within a week of purchase. No accountability. No support. Called the dealer to do a deposit since I do not leave nearby. They then stated that they had additional interest in the truck and were not ready to follow through. They said they wanted to hold the truck through the weekend to see if someone else would purchase rather than honoring the deal, on paper, that they offered me. Highly recommend searching elsewhere rather than dealing with untrustworthy individuals like these.
