Buying a used Ram pickup

Very helpful, personable and customer oriented. James Rovenstine, sales consultant, did everything right. They checked everything I requested and provided a printout of their finding as well as a list of the repairs they made prior to the purchase.

Best vehicle buying experience ever!

Best vehicle buying experience ever! no pressure to buy at all. The salesman was mostly interested that I understood the truck and the deal.

Faulty wiring

Brand new truck caught fire, do to a faulty plug in the cab. Warranty would not honor it and the dealership was no help. Had to buy another vehicle to get to work.

Awesome

Mr hinshaw and homer skeleton and the finance and the paper signing all three individuals were professional and awesome from coming into the door all the way to bell ringing don’t shop anywhere else

Great experience

Third car I’ve bought from Jim Hinshaw. Second from Homer Skeleton DCJ. I’ve been looking for a Dodge Charger for a while. I saw one at Homer Skeleton, and then saw Jim Hinshaw was a salesman… 100% confidence that combination. Jim it straight forward, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Homer Skelton has always been fair on cost, parts, and service… if you’re looking for a vehicle, I highly recommend going to see Jim! Thrilled with our purchase! We had two vehicles in mind, Jim had both ready for us to test drive. After selection, Jim provided options and even gave us his corporate vehicle to drive, to get our new car detailed the next day. Always a pleasure to deal with Mr Hinshaw! Waiting to finalize everything tomorrow. I’ve purchased from Homer Skelton before. I don’t expect any issues.

Very helpful Sales staff

Beth was extremely helpful in getting us into our new vehicle. She was easy to get in contact with and never made us feel like we were a hassle. Beth helped us test drive multiple vehicles and pointed us towards vehicles that fit our needs perfectly. Overall experience was excellent. Everyone was extremely helpful.

Service Department SUCKS!!!

I came in to order the head of the dragon decal that came on my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Dragon Edition on August 20th. The parts guy was a total xxxxxx! His demeanor and attitude was awful to say the least. He asked for the VIN number, very rudely, for which my husband immediately went to get. I asked if he could look it up under the year etc and he looked at me ugly and typed it in. Before my husband came back e we itch the VIN, the guy, Mike, said he found it and told me how much it was, $481 with tax. I said, “Ok, can you order it please?” So he did. I asked when it would come in. He said, “Monday.” So I set up my appointment to get it on Wednesday with the guy putting it on at the company I was using. I called Tuesday to be told it was not in and that whomever told me it would be here Monday was wrong because they don’t get trucks on Monday and it wouldn’t be there until Thursday. So I changed my appointment to have it out on to Friday. You guessed it, it was NOT there Thursday or the Saturday they said. So I was told that it had been sent and would be in on Tuesday. I called and was told that they couldn’t find it on the truck. I had to cancel my appointment AGAIN! Homer Skelton calls back 15 minutes after I cancel to say they found it. I take it to get it out on and it’s the wrong thing when we open the package. I called to take it back. Of course the jerk, Mike, answers and says I can bring it back if it’s not damaged. It’s not! I take it back to be CHARGED $71 to return it! Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME? You charge the custom $71 for y’all’s error? xxxx poor service! I will be writing the BBB! I’ve called the the District Manager, James Morshack, who has yet to return my call. Shocker!! Chrysler company has been called!!

Unsat service department

The service department has very poor communication and basic coordination skills. I have to do most of that for them or be lost in line. Usually have to make several calls and end up calling or going to the GM to get things done. No taxis, Uber, or rental cars in town. No follow-ups...lots of excuses why they can't provide normal service or communication. An "express" oil change and tire rotation is an all-day event. Drop off a 0915, pick up 1700. This time they forget they drove me home and didn't plan on picking me back up to get my truck, that may or may not be ready. Had to get the GM involved again. Unsat score.

Worst service department ever!

Worst service department ever! Technicians don’t seem to have the skill level to complete troubleshooting on newer vehicles. All knowledge is from the computer system. Had my 2019 Dodge Ram in for a check engine light that was diagnosed as a EVAP system leak. 8 visits later they still can’t figure out what is wrong. Got a call from the service manager when I filled out a online survey. He stated that he was sorry that I have been having a bad experience and that he would like to make it up to me. Offered a courtesy vehicle to me when it was available, but never heard back from him or anyone else. The call was just a check in the box for the dealership to say that they made contact with a disgruntled customer. Highly recommend taking all of your vehicle needs somewhere else as these guys can’t even do an oil change correctly.
