After engine light came on, my car was towed in the middle of the night on Friday to Jim Cook Chevrolet dealership. I was headed to Cullowee, NC for my grandson's graduation from college. On Saturday I received NO call from the service department letting me know anything about my car. A courtesy call stating they could not even touch my car until the next week would have been invaluable to me. My daughter, granddaughters, and I had to leave Sunday morning to travel 5 hours back home. I decided I did not want my car worked on by such an unprofessional acting service team. I drove 5 hours back to Marion, rented a U Haul and tow dolly to take my car home. The "team" released my car without a problem, but were terse in conversation and not helpful at all in getting me out of there. I had to ask them to move an EMT truck from in front of my car. When I got home to my Service Team, they unhooked my car, set up to dolly to allow me to return it to the local U Haul. I did not expect the Jim Cook Service Dept to hook up my U Haul; but I would have appreciated some kindness and professionalism in releasing my car and maybe some guidance on moving my car. Everyone else I had experience with from Grab and Go Towing to Appalacian Equipment Rental went above and beyond to assist this 69 year old woman in getting herself and her family home. I am blessed that my brother went with me to pick up the car - nothing from the service dept. after release of the car was any help.

As we discussed, I have spoken with our Service Team and asked them to work on their communication skills with our future customers. You're absolutely correct in saying we could have made this a more pleasant & positive experience simply by taking the time to clearly communicate a reasonable time frame for your repairs. Again, I apologize that we weren't able to complete such a simple task for you and your family this past weekend. P.S. Congratulations to your grandson on his graduation!!!

Out Of State Experience
I found a car I wanted on-line in North Carolina - I'm in Florida. Lea, my salesperson, was extremely helpful. Very prompt in returning calls, emails & texts. Provided me extra pictures that I'd requested. Offered to help with finance without being pushy. Even went so far as pick me up from the airport (an hour away) to save me the hassle of a taxi or Uber. On the drive back, had a good talk about cars in general - to my surprise, as I generally know a bit more than sales people, she was extremely knowledgeable not only about her cars, but others (we had some Tesla conversations as well). Overall a very good experience.

For years now, I have been bringing my vehicles to Jim Cook Chevrolet. The staff in the service department is very knowledgeable, as well as the techs performing the work. I have been so pleased with the experience and the performance of my vehicles, that just 3 months ago, when it was time to buy a new car, of course I bough it from Jim Cook Chevrolet!
