The arrogance of the sales management at this location is

The arrogance of the sales management at this location is unsurpassed and they don't reflect any respect for the individuals or their relationship with their consumers. It's strictly respect for money. I won't do business with the patronizing and dishonest management. After bringing my concerns about the treatment my wife received to the General Sales Manager, his response was to ignore us. After having bought two previous Mercedes from them, the least I would have expected was a call to acknowledge our concerns. Not a word. Just dismissed. We're done with Mercedes as a whole. IGrayson BMW thanks you for our purchase of our new X5. Keep up dismissing your loyal clients as BMW, Audi, Genesis, out of town Mercedes dealers and others are enjoying the rewards. If you are set on a Mercedes, save thousands (and aggravation) by going to Chattanooga, Asheville, Atlanta, or Nashville.

Bought and sold a lot of cars over the years.

Bought and sold a lot of cars over the years. We have run into more sales representatives than we can remember. Typically, you tend to remember the ones that left a negative impression, so you don’t ever deal with them again. Some are great when they are selling you the car, then they tend to disappear after the sale. Especially if you have a follow up concern. Well, we ran into one sales rep recently that was exceptional. His name is Javier and he represents Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville. I know what you’re thinking, he works for an upscale dealership so he should be exceptional. Not. In the past, we have purchased a few of what are considered high-end cars and some of the worst experiences have been with those reps. With Javier, the whole process of purchasing the car, from helping us select a model, to the negotiation phase (which tends to be the worst part), to the follow-up was great. There were a few loose ends after the sale that needed to be cleaned up and Javier assured us, he would handle them. He did. What we call a “man of his word”. Bottom Line, if you are looking for a top-notch sales rep at a Mercedes Benz dealership, look up Javier. Javier, keep up the good work!

Before acquiring a used 2024 truck from Mercedes-Benz of

Before acquiring a used 2024 truck from Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville, I inquired with Todd, via text message, if the original owner traded in the vehicle or if the vehicle had been repossessed or seized, to which he replied by stating that it was a trade-in and was not repoed or seized. After making the purchase, a few weeks later, I received the vehicle's title and supporting documentation from Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville, revealing it had indeed been repossessed. It is self-evident from this discovery that veracity is lacking at this dealership and making a sale by any means necessary is worth sacrificing one's integrity. Buyer beware. -David Kelley

I bought a used Ford F-150 here, and 7 days later the transmission went out. I signed the document I was buying the truck as-is, but I was not formally offered or given a price for an extended warranty. Because I didn't buy an extended warranty, the dealership refused to take any accountability for the transmission. I left 2 messages for the General Manager and 2 messages for the pre-owned vehicle manager, but neither one would return my calls. I had 3 mechanics all tell me that there would have been no way that Mercedes didn't know the transmission was bad, unless they were not truthful about the "rigorous inspection" they put the truck through before selling it to me. I had just bought my last used vehicle from this dealership a year earlier, but I will never buy from them again.

Just bought a nice used Maxima here this weekend.

Just bought a nice used Maxima here this weekend. I will have to say that Brandon Comer (sales) and Javier Escobar (finance) were a pleasure to deal with. Such down to earth personalities, friendly, sincere, and helpful. I actually identified a vibration / wheel issue with this vehicle during the test drive. They did not hesitate to address the issue fully and we were able to finalize the deal in a couple of days. Other that that small hiccup, the dealwas so simple and painless. My wife and I would definitely consider buying from this dealership again. It is a beautiful establishment and everyone we came in contact with were so nice and thoughtful.

Jim "Tex" Ritter at Mercedes Benz Knoxville assisted me

Jim "Tex" Ritter at Mercedes Benz Knoxville assisted me with the purchase of my ESeries automobile. It was the exact car that I had been looking for. Jim answered all my questions I had about the car. Jim was very helpful in explaining the safety features as well as the operational features.

*BEWARE* We purchased a used Range Rover Sport from this dealership. It was supposedly “certified” and all good. After having it for less than a month it started leaking antifreeze. We are now going to have to spend $700 to fix a vehicle we just paid over $50,000 for. They do not stand behind their used vehicles at all. Do not purchase from this dealership.

Dealer response

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We always appreciate the opportunity to review customer experiences and make sure they are up to our high standards. We're sorry to hear you're having an issue with your vehicle. I reviewed our records and spoke with our sales managers to get some history on your visit. We did perform our standard safety inspection on your vehicle to ensure there were no existing problems at the time of sale. However, since your vehicle is not a Mercedes-Benz, we were not able to sell it as a "Certified Pre-Owned." We understand there can be some risks when purchasing a pre-owned vehicle, and while we're unable to predict future problems, we do offer several warranty options to help alleviate the cost of unexpected repairs. Unfortunately, our records indicate a warranty purchase was declined for your vehicle. If you'd like to bring the vehicle to our service department, we'd be happy to take a look and go over your best options to take care of any needed repairs. I'd also be happy to discuss your experience further over the phone, so please feel free to contact me directly at 865-777-2268. Thank you again. - Jeff Bender, General Manager

Even though I hate purchasing new cars, this was a great experience. From the moment I walked on the lot the staff was engaging, knowledgable, respectful friendly and attentive. . Sales person Jon Becker was honest, not pushy, put me at ease, knew the product, fun to deal with and was very helpful at helping me sort through options on the van. Jon was willing to go above and beyond to put me at ease and made the experience a good one.

Salespeople are friendly, as you would expect.

Salespeople are friendly, as you would expect. Brief experience with the Service Dept left good impression. The problem is the product. Mercedes Benz enjoys a reputation of poor reliability and my experience certainly solidifies that fact. A mere three weeks after purchasing a Certified 2023 C300 it left me stranded at a gas station. Red warning light on the dash indicated a "Malfunction" and the car would not start. Embarrassing situation when others are patiently waiting in line to use the gas pump. That was after several technology issues including a clock that would not keep the correct time and Apple Car Play that would not connect. If you are set on owning a Mercedes I guess this is as good a dealership as you'll find but I would encourage you to consider a different manufacturer.
