I came to Grayson Subaru after my son recommended that I

I came to Grayson Subaru after my son recommended that I check out Subaru because of its safety, reliability, fair pricing, and competitive terms. Jeremy found me wandering around and patiently showed me different models, explaining the features of each one. When I told him my budget and terms, he heard me and worked to get me into the perfect vehicle, a Crosstrek Sport! I love it!

Worst dealer in Knoxville, during the purchase they kept

Worst dealer in Knoxville, during the purchase they kept trying to run up the listed price, and blamed COVID-19, When we had finished signing the paperwork and got home they had added over $500 back in, had I not caught this they would have let it go, they did refund after a bit of complaining, with a 15,000 $ down payment and a pre-approved loan you think they would have been a bit more professional to deal with . Then we started having issues with the tire pressure sensors. My wife a small mature lady told them at least three times and they continued to tell her there was nothing wrong, when I inquired they wanted to blame her for not explaining it well enough to them REALY !! BLAME THE CUSTOMER, that makes sense not!! When presenting it to them again, myself, it was intermittent, again it was my wife's fault for not explaining it correctly. No one introduces themself when answering the phone. And it is obvious if you have a challenge to work through or an issue, not one person wants to help the customer .. trying to speak to a manager or someone in charge always excuses why you can not talk to them. We now have $1,200 in new tires put on a car under warranty. Don't be fooled by other comments. If you are a lady or an older person, you can guarantee they will try to take advantage of you if they can!! our sensors still go off intermittently, but most times once you turn the car off and on it goes away on a short trip they did it twice, but again it just goes away on its own as well. I asked to replace the sensors because it is so intermittent, and then they blamed Subaru stating they would not allow this because they could not find a problem through the self diag, codes As former director of global service operations, I UNDERSTAND ALL TO WELL SELF DIAGNOSTICS, AND INTERMITTENT CHALLENGES FOR TECHS ... I WOULD NEVER PUT A CUSTOMER OFF AS THEY DID and play the blame game. I can assure you we will tell everyone we know!!! NEVER BUT FROM THIS DEALER !!

Dealer response

The car was here and there were no warning lights on. We did have a tech check all 4 sensors and found they were working and giving signals as they should. We informed the her that the cooler weather can cause the light to come on and if it came back on to bring to back to us.  Her husband called and wanted the sensors replaced. We cannot do this unless we confirm we have a bad sensor, which at this time, all sensors are working as they should.

I found the best car salesman; no joke.

I found the best car salesman; no joke. Terran became a friend in a matter of hours. I felt honesty. I felt empathy, for two seniors trying to navigate buying a new car, after 11 years. I felt caring, when we left the showroom at night. He was concerned with our route home, set up my navigation system to the easiest route. He played traffic cop, in the middle of the side street to help us exit. He listened to what I wanted, found the car suited to my wants and needs. He also got us the best deal. Thank you for a great adventure.

Thank you for the great review! We appreciate you choosing us!

Jimbo and Tyler were incredible.

Jimbo and Tyler were incredible. I talked to four dealerships about our specific TR WRX we were looking for. Tyler offered the best trade and was very honest and up front. He did not even need to see our trade in person. All the other dealers thought I was making Tyler’s offer up! We drove 1.5 hours to trade. Although Tyler was willing to deliver (my son wanted to drive back home in his car). Awesome and easy experience. I’ve bought over 50 cars and this was the best so far.

Congrats on the new WRX! Thank you for the review and purchase!

Bought a car a little over a week ago from Matt.

Bought a car a little over a week ago from Matt. Was very excited about this purchase at first but now finding out that Gavin and Matt have lied to me regarding the condition of the vehicle I purchased. Buying a 24 vehicle that is still under manufactures warranty isn’t considered as-is and Hyundai corporate customer service agrees with me on that. Being told numerous times from both of these individuals that repairs were made prior to signing any contracts helped us with moving forward. Now we are told neither of them put in writing and as Gavin said every customer lies to dealerships to get repairs done at the customers fault and dealerships don’t lie. He’s been doing this for over 10 years and has dealt with thousands of these issues of customers lying. What happened in the past is irrelevant to this conversation. The only thing that matters is what is going on between us and multiple times Gavin chose to go the dishonest route when it was never a make it or break it situation. Instead he doubled down. This is why people don’t trust car dealerships and they have a bad reputation. Buyer beware they will sell you, as Matt stated multiple times, a brand new vehicle still under manufactures warranty as-is. My first red flag was within 5 minutes of meeting our sales person he states that he didn’t know Hyundai made a truck. Edit: reviewed my paper and the window sticker. My car was never sold AS-IS. I do not have paperwork or signed any paperwork stating such. After reading more reviews on google with the owner commenting on AS-IS issues with high mileage cars. Matt would have had to inform us, financing would have had us sign paperwork stating such. This would have been stated throughout the whole process to us, read a couple comments below mine. This was never apart of the process. So for Gavin to attack me and falsely claim I was lying to them. Is a gross understatement and poor judgement on his part. When in fact with that simple statement shows who’s lying but as he said over the phone. This is a he said vs he said situation even though the legal paperwork is on my side and the customer is always lying. I highly doubt anyone with Grayson will take accountability for this issue and continue to make it my fault for not doing my own responsibility and researching this particular dealership before purchasing said car.
