My displeasure of dealership practices and expectations has seriously damaged my car buying relationships with local dealers here in Elizabeth City. First I will start by saying my wife purchased a vehicle with this dealership group at a sister dealership down the street. They were able to convince my wife to purchase a warranty outside of the normal warranty that comes with the vehicle. I did not expect any problems from this vehicle as I felt the quality was good. To our discovery after several visits with the service department our vehicle engine was ruined. On top of this the vehicle warranty was expired which does not cover vehicle powertrain. Not a problem here because we purchased an extended warranty (lifetime engine warranty). To our surprise the extended warranty also does not cover this damage ($2,000 later). I tried reaching out to the company and found that the dealership put a "restriction" on that vehicle so there cannot be any inquiries from Corporate. I thought this was not possible since Corporate can override any dealership issues. I called back again and was told again from someone else that nothing can be done because of the restriction. So we are left to fix on our own vehicle. Fast forward a couple months later, I purchase a truck from the other dealership. This was certainly against better judgement but they had the type of vehicle I was looking for and the price I was willing to pay. After some small negotiations I had three criteria that had to be met prior to my purchase. One was to restripe the truck (done). Two was to clean the interior to rid the vehicle of smoke since we are not smokers (not done, sent it back and still not done along with cleaning the bed of the truck, dead animal smell, not done). The inside still dirty with the exception of the dash which was wiped twice. The rest was untouched. I actually showed the salesperson and they just looked at me and said I'm sorry, not an offer to make sure it's done. (Friend of the wife). Third is a tuneup since vehicle has high miles (not sure but will find out). Personal service I will admit was pleasant but I had rather my salesperson been a butt-hole and did the things I asked for rather then give me a half smile. I tell you the truth I would only recommend this dealership with payment of money since I feel I lost a lot of it when I drove off the lot. However, I am very happy with the vehicle just not the smells.

I recently purchased a used vehicle at performance and had the best car buying experience so far out of the 10 or so vehicles I have purchased in the past. Taylor did anything he could for me, getting me into what truck I needed to be in my budget and the package I needed. Took some searching and weeks of test driving different ones til I was happy. Great salesman backed by a great group!

told him exactly what I was looking for, he got to work and found me one within the next few days. had a few issues and they made sure truck was 100% before I got in it.. next vehicle for the wife will be bought through taylor.
