I called on Friday the 25th and talked to Catlin, explained the issue with my Granddaughters vehicle, and that she had to leave on the 1st of August for Northwestern University. She asked me to hold for a minute. When she came back to the phone she told me to bring it in Monday at 7:30 and the would take care of her vehicle. You don't know how appreciative I am for the response. Plus the Service Department was courteous and helpful. Repaired vehicle and we picked it up this morning. Have nothing but high praise for Duncan Ford Service. Can't thank you enough. Sincerely Terry Dulaney.

I was contacted by the service manager about my 2017 ford explorer making a weird noise, I had left a review earlier because i was not very happy , After speaking with the service manager Brent at the end of the day, Brent assured me that he would work with me to resolve the issue with my Ford explorer, I've known Brent for many years, I'm glad he reached out to me. Thank you Brent Gary Mayweather

We had a 2018 Ford escape with 62 thousands miles when the motor blew it was still under warranty and they fixed that we got it back four months later and the transmission come out of it they come and got it took it back up there call me said it was gonna cost us over $6000 that it was not under warranty we went and got it and took it somewhere else and come to find out. It was not our fault Brent the service manager called me and said that they was going to fix it that it was their fault so we’ve had good experience with them and hope to continue to have good experience with them. He stood behind his word to me, and I really gladly appreciate what he done for us. He is a man of his word.

Salesman Josh Keene was kind and efficient! The manager was stuffy, stubborn, and would not work with us, on our Very reasonable offer for a vehicle that had been on the lot for 90 days already! We walked out.

Purchased a certified pre-owned Mazda product from a different Mazda dealership. The car has a little over 50,000 miles on it. The powertrain warranty is 100,000 miles. The vehicle developed a powertrain issue. Duncan Mazda claimed the issue was not covered under my powertrain warranty and would cost between $5,000 and $6,000 to fix. They wouldn't contact Mazda directly to explain the situation. I spoke with the owner of Duncan Mazda. Here was his main point to me: "Your problem is, you didn't buy the car from me." It gets better. I decided to take the car to Modern Automotive in Christiansburg, VA. If I'm going to pay someone to do the work, it will be someone I trust. They inspected the vehicle, purchased the parts needed from the Mazda dealer in Roanoke, and fixed the car for $3500. As it turns out my front CV Joints that Duncan claimed were leaking and needing replacement, were actually in near perfect condition! Someone at Duncan was trying to rip me off. I will never take a vehicle to Duncan Mazda again. Be careful with these folks!

Dealer response

My apologies for the Negative sentiment that you have towards your Mazda CPO CX-9. To reiterate, the reason that your repair was not covered by Mazda North American Operations was due to the fact that the Selling Mazda Dealer that you purchased it from in Atlanta, GA Certified your Mazda CX-9 with the incorrect size tires. The Vehicle should have never been Mazda Certified in the first place. These incorrect size tires were also at different tread depths. This ultimately caused your issue in the rear differential of your Mazda CX-9. Our recommendations to you were to contact the selling dealer to discuss and ask for assistance. Furthermore, you declined any and all assistance from Duncan Mazda. Looking back at the original quote for repair our Rear Differential Repair proposal was approx. $700 cheaper than the Independent garage that you chose to work with. If you have any further questions, please contact Brent Brusseau, Service Manager at Duncan Mazda in Blacksburg, VA. 540-552-4331 Ext/.3400. DPD
