The story of my purchase of the red Cadillac Escalade ESV
The story of my purchase of the red Cadillac Escalade ESV from Lindner Chevrolet inc. continues. The Monday after this (almost totaled out) wreck arrived at my home with a CLEAR CARFAX REPORT (July 28th) I took this vehicle that I just paid $45,500 for to the local Cadillac dealer here in Green Bay WI. I had their Body Shop do an estimate for me which they did and the estimate was for $17,720.63 and they appraised the car and said they would write me a check for $30,502. I then took the vehicle to another auto body place an hour away from where I live and they wrote an estimate to repair for $18,223.81. I then contacted General Motors, Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado, The Attorney General of Colorado, The Attorney General of Wisconsin, The Colorado Dept. of Revenue (Auto industry Division) and CARFAX (who still hasn't listed this vehicle as almost a total at one time)! FINALLY...Lindner Chevrolet Inc., decided they would take this piece of junk back. Their office administrator Brenda Barker sent me an email which read: As soon as you return the title and documents and PAY TO HAVE THE ESCALADE SENT BACK TO OUR DEALERSHIP I WILL FEDEX YOU A CHECK FOR THE FULL PURCHASE PRICE. So I made arrangements with the auto transport company and paid $1000 to have this vehicle returned to them. Then a few days later I got another email from Brenda along with a "Disclaimer Form" that she wanted me to sign holding them harmless for the "SCAM" that they tried to pull and she will now NOT release my funds until I sign the disclaimer which I refuse to do. So now as of today....they have their paperwork, including the title and they have the vehicle back in their possession and they also have my $45,500 that I paid for this RED 2020 CADILLAC ESCALDE ESV that they have had in their inventory for a full two years (July 2023 to July 2025). AND I AM OUT $1950.00 TO HAVE THIS VEHICLE SHIPPED TO ME AND THEN BACK TO THEM. I will keep you posted as to what happens next!!
