Terrible customer service.

Terrible customer service. Do not buy a car or get any service performed at this dealership. Purchased a new 2024 Subaru Forester from Gold Rush Subaru in Auburn Ca. The rear hatch has issued and won’t close correctly, the auto close button does not work, radio stops working etc. Brought the vehicle for service and told service tech about the issues. He told me that I should expect that from Subarus and obviously I was a first time Subaru owner. I asked if it was under warranty and was told these are typical issues that I would have to pay if I wanted them to be fixed and Subaru only warranties certain engine issues on new cars and nothing else. I called Subaru corporate multiple times and they dropped call on me once and the second time they said they would send be a claim number but never did. The told me that I should try another dealership in a different town and they might be able to help? I have written numerous complaints with no solutions. The car has 4,200 miles on it and has factory defects that neither the dealership or Subaru are willing to fix. Next stop Ca Department Of Consumer Affairs for a lemon law claim . I have it in writing when I bought the brand new car that it was to include a factory warranty. I have been told by Subaru corporate that the issues that I have are covered by the warranty but they can’t help me with making the dealer fix the vehicle?

My daughter and I bought a used 2021 Subaru Crosstrek

My daughter and I bought a used 2021 Subaru Crosstrek yesterday from GoldRush, and the experience was great. Edgar was our point guy/salesman, and he answered all of your questions, there was no hard sale pressure, and everything went very smoothly. And signing the paperwork in the finance department was also very easy and straightforward, and once again, with no high pressure "buy these extras" sales talk. I would definitely recommend GoldRush as a dealership to use.

What more can I say other than this is the "fourth"

What more can I say other than this is the "fourth" Subaru Forester we purchased through Gold Rush. Of course, all service appointments were done there as well. Everything has been to our satisfaction through the years.

They were on time for my appointment.

They were on time for my appointment. They were very considerate and knowledgeable, and gave me a fair price for the service.

Warning: DO NOT purchase a used vehicle from this

Warning: DO NOT purchase a used vehicle from this dealership and be especially wary of the salesman named Bill M. On 5.1.2024, I told Bill I wanted to take a 2017 Subaru Forester, VIN: JF2SJAWC3HH428284 for a pre-purchase inspection at a local Subaru shop, he hesitated and reluctantly agreed (I should have walk then). The garage inspected the car for app 30 minutes, then showed me FOUR serious issues which needed immediate attention: suspension bushings were torn or loose on all 4 corners, requiring new control arms. Brake rotors were so rusty that they caused a rotational dragging noise - needed new brake on all 4 wheels. An alignment was badly needed. In addition the AC blower motor needed replacement. The repairs would cost over $5K. When I asked Bill if he would fix it or discount the price so I could, he arrogantly replied absolutely not. I then asked him if he was going to place it back on the lot for sale without making the necessary repairs, he said "absolutely I am, there is no safety issues with the car and it has 90,000 miles", and that neither he or the dealership could possibly know that the car had these problems. I then reminded Bill that he and his dealership assured me that a thorough inspection was completed, that the technicians at the garage needed only 30 minutes to find the problems. He obviously knew of the issues. I told him I felt obligated to leave a review to warn other customers that Gold Rush Subaru is knowing selling cars with major mechanical problems, he responding by saying I was threatening him. Then said he never told me he was putting the car back on the lot with a fix, but that he needs to ... you guessed it: "talk to his manager"! I looked at the room of 5 technicians and reminded Bill that they heard him tell me he was placing it on the lot without a fix just a minute prior. He then said again that they can't know everything about the cars they sell and said I'm done talking to you. My experience may have been unique, but I really doubt so as an honest person would have responded by apologizing for the oversight and offered to fix the issues; Bill did the exact opposite! Very slimy experience!
