Went in to Airport Ford to order a Ford Maverick at the end of November 2021. They took my information what features I wanted and credit card to place the order. Was told the truck was on back order but I should have it in 9 months maybe in seven months. They indicated the order would not be placed til later but that I would get the truck. At the end of January 2022 I read an article that Ford was not taking any more orders for the Maverick until 2023. I. I called my salesman at Airport Ford to see if my order for the truck had gone through the order process? He checked and let me know I was one of the lucky ones who would get a truck. I was very excited! Forward to today March 18th. After calling in last week to get an order number and written confirmation I was told by my salesman he wouldn’t be able to get the information until this week and he would call me back this week. Of course he didn’t call me back and I left him a message on Wednesday to call me and of course he didn’t. I got hold of him today and he said he forgot to check and he would call me back in 10 minutes and of course he didn’t. When I called him over an hour later he said he got busy and forgot to call me. He then tried to check the status of my order a couple times, put me on hold and finally came back and said my truck had not been ordered and they are only putting people on the list for 2023 models of which none can be ordered until 2023. Needless to say I was very frustrated and beside myself. I then asked to talk to the sales manager and basically told me orders for hybrid truck were stopped at the beginning of November 2021 and that this was the first time he heard about this situation. The only resolution he offered was to wait till 2023 for the truck! He didn’t seem concerned about the fact that I had been misled for over 3.5 months! This is the most frustrated I’ve been with buying a vehicle. It will be a long time before I consider buying a vehicle from Airport Ford!

What happened to honor
My experience with Airport Ford was less than honorable, the manager and salesman (can't remember his name), called me. I was selling my 2013 Ford Taurus, I asked him nicely to please not waste my time, I told him what I was quoted from Carvana. He said " just come in let us check it out, I'm sure we can give you a respectable offer." So the next day I drove out to their dealership, met with the sales man I spoke to on the phone. He and a mechanic took it for a ride, came back and picked my car apart (verbally), granted it wasn't perfect, also it had low miles 45,000. His offer was $8,000. I showed him what carvana offered, which was twice his offer. He went into a story about how another guy in a similar situation had a better quote from Carvana then when carvana inspected his car they came back with an offer less than his. The story may be true I don't know. But in my experience carvana honored their offer, no questions no hassle. I realize people have to earn a living but Airport Ford in my experience was not honorable.

I have dealing with Airport Ford since 1957 when my family bought a 1957 Ford Fairlane. They are the best. Wouldn't buy a car from anybody else. I tell all my friends

I did a really straightforward piece of business with Airport Ford: I told them what I wanted and they sold it to me without any runaround or nonsense. I can't overstate my satisfaction with that.

I haven't always had the best experiences at Airport Ford...
I haven't always had the best experiences at Airport Ford and this visit changed my mind. Brandon did an excellent job listening to my concerns and sharing his opinions/thoughts. He then called with an estimate price and explained everything needing attention. Upon pick up he went over the entire service record with me and the price was even a little less expensive than the estimate. I will defiantly be back.
