Bad organization, very bad: - Car had defects (weird noise) so I could not test it - they were confused as to whom should serve me - they let me hang for 20 min after I had checked in

It was another good experience at Car Max White Marsh.

It was another good experience at Car Max White Marsh. I bought a car back in 2001, which was a good experience, so this time I returned again to Car Max. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks Carmax...keep up the good work. Peace, Jan

Sales person was great.

Sales person was great. Service side sucks. They lir, never call back when they promise they will and are overall a nightmare. Car goes back tomorrow.

I have had to return my car 4 different times now for an

I have had to return my car 4 different times now for an issues they created! My car was there for cosmetic issues and they patched a hole in my tire. When I picked my car up the entire thing shook uncontrollably. I took my car back a second time, they decided to replace both front tires. Long story short after they finally decided to listen to my concerns, I was told my tires were originally put back on incorrectly which caused the shaking!! My actual wheel and Rotars needed to be replaced! They had me driving an unsafe vehicle with my children because they are lazy and incompetent. When I would leave messages they would almost never return my car, I am always the one calling for an update. The people who answer the phones in the service department are rude and complain about customers very openly. This has been the absolute WORST experience of my life! Its one thing to inconvenience someone but to blatantly disregard the safety of my children is where I draw the line!

What is custom service?

Started with the bait-and-switch, as the vehicle I was interested in said it was in a town close to me, but ended up being out of state, which they’d gladly bring to me at a fee if I’d buy without seeing/test driving. The sales guy that ended up calling me was nice, but had little experience to deal with anything, so I emailed sales; I then got a response several days later asking if I’d take a phone call to which I replied yes, and several more days later…..I’ve heard nothing.

I recently purchased a Lincoln MKC from this Carmax...

I recently purchased a Lincoln MKC from this Carmax location on October 28, 2021. I was only able to drive the car for less than 48 hours before I received a message that the Steering Assist needed to be repaired. I parked the car and informed the service department of the message I was receiving. On Monday November 1, I returned the car and received a loaner. Carmax was unable to perform the necessary work, so the car was towed to Al Packer in Whitemarsh. It is now November 16, 2021 and I AM STILL WITHOUT MY NEWLY PURCHASED CAR!! I was told that the work would be completed on last Thursday, which changed to Friday, which changed to Monday. Monday has come and gone and I am still receiving the run around! Yesterday, I was told that my car would be finished by end of business Monday and would be ready for pickup on Tuesday (today). I was discouraged from calling the Al Packer service department on my own because “they usually do not speak to the owners of the vehicle” but I called anyway and was told something completely different from what the service department at Carmax said. It is extremely frustrating that I have already begun paying car insurance and pretty soon a car payment on a car that I have not been able to drive. I completely understand that the world is going through a transition due to the Covid-19 pandemic but that does not warrant being told one thing and it change completely the next day.

Both of the cars I returned should not have passed Maryland state inspection. RUDE no one answers the phone good luck getting service. well what else can I say except this was my worst retail experience ever and they left me with a mess with the MVA

Lied to me about how many accidents the suv had sold me a suv that was salvaged air bags deployed Flipped the title. They didn't use carfax they used experience which doesn't tell everything. I would have never bought this vehicle let alone one from this company. They don't care about the safety of their customers let alone telling the truth about the history of the vehicles.
