Dave Dennis Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Service is terrible. I took my car into Dave Dennis service department because my radio screen was not working. Everything else was working properly. I paid the diagnostic fee of $195 and was told that I needed a new radio and about five other things. I had to pay for the new radio that day and schedule my car in to have it installed. I took it back and they installed the radio and repaired most of the other things they indicated needed to be repaired. My husband usually fixes my car but was having some major health issues. After picking up my car, I had a Uconnect error on the radio screen but I had to drive to Indianapolis where my husband was hospitalized so I just called Serius radio and the reinstalled it for me. On my way to Indianapolis, my 4 wheel drive warning light came on and I noticed my assisted cruise control did not work. I ended up being in Indianapolis for about a month. My husband googled my issue and found the attached information in GPT. I asked GPT “ 2019 jeep compas had a new display screen by dealer and now four wheel drive and cruise control don’t work any suggestions. This issue is common after screen replacement on the 2019 jeep compass and the dealer likely did not properly reconnect, program, or initialize the infotainment system uconnect. The infotainment system is deeply integrated with vehicle modules including the Body Cintrol Module Bcm which manages the four wheel drive systems. It goes on to suggest troubleshooting options I took it back to Dave Dennis. They requested I pay another diagnostic fee. I suggested they look at the GPT article and they were rude and request I pay another diagnostic fee. I refused. However , after they had my car for about three weeks, they called and told me they needed the diagnostic fee again. I paid it. They said my four wheel drive module needed replaced. I told them I did not want them to replace it or do anything to my car. When I went back to pick up my car, I got on 675. And discovered my car would only go 35 miles an hour. They failed to mention that issue to me and I feel fortunate I did not have an accident driving it home. My husband ordered the module that Dave Dennis said was bad and installed it. He took it to an independent dealer to have it flashed. This dealer requested all the paperwork from Dave Dennis and the module that my husband removed since Dave Dennis said it needed to be replaced. This dealer said the module that was removed had nothing wrong with it. My husband requested it be flashed however, the dealer said that was unnecessary because the actual problem was the battery that controls all the electronics in the car. My 2019 Jeep compass has two batteries. One to start it and one for the electronics. They also changed all the dashboard words to Spanish. Unfortunately I do not speak Spanish. So my car is fixed. No thanks to Dave Dennis. While all this was taking place, I’ve been driving my 2013 Hyundai with 215000 miles on it. I would recommend not purchasing a jeep and not taking it to Dave Dennis for service. Hyundai has great customer service and a great warranty.

Excellent experience dealing with Jon Gruza. He answered all of our questions, and was extremely helpful. He was not pushy at all. We would definitely come to him again.

Very very sorry insurance had bought a lot of cars Carson and Carlisle never had a problem so I bought this used car less than 6 months ago I know it didn't cover letter bumper to bumper but they would not even talk about redoing the brakes when everything suggested if it's under certain amount of months under a year or miles that they could cover it but he thinks he didn't cover it had never used in the world so I guess I'm not going to be able to buy my next car from them thanks for nothing

Horrible experience...I brought my 21 Durango in for transmission issues and was told once the dealership and warranty company agreed on terms that it would be about a 3 week process. 2 and a half months later I fought for updates to find out the tech never started on it. When they released it to me the check engine light was still on and now reading an oxygen sensor issue which I found out is damaged because the cable was stretched out and I have other areas underneath that was damaged.

Worse experience ever, I brought my 21 Durango in for transmission work and was told that there are 3 people ahead of me and once the warranty company approves the work it would take 3 weeks to complete. Multiple times we were told that they would call to update and it never happened so my wife and I had to call to get statuses multiple occasions. They have a policy sign that basically says estimates mean nothing and will change based on if more money comes in the door. After confronting them about it they referenced that sign and stated that they did us a favor by skipping us ahead of the line since I'm military and projected to move next month. When I received my Durango back, the check engine light was still on and after running the code it came back as an Oxygen sensor malfunction which i inspected and found that the cabling was damaged, the heat shield on the driver side was cracked in multiple locations, the heat shield mounting screws weren't there anymore, one of the fastening clamps over the driver side headlight was broken, and some of the screws on the drive train were striped.

Imagine going to an ER for a broken arm and the doctor tells you “we can get you in a sling but we have to order it. It should arrive in 2 business days.” Then when it come in, it’s broken, so they order a new one. And that arrives broken after 2 more days, so they order another. And when that one arrives, they put it on your arm. But in doing so, they somehow remove your spleen. That is Dave Dennis service department.

I brought my 2023 Dodge Durango in twice within a month for a Uconnect issue. On the second visit, the dealership replaced both the main battery and the auxiliary battery, which is located in a sealed compartment under the passenger seat. When I got home, I checked their work and was shocked to find popcorn pieces and trash inside the sealed compartment where the battery had just been installed. They also removed my dash and now I am concerned with what might be left behind on the dash. I immediately called the dealership to express my concern and dissatisfaction. The service manager flat-out denied any responsibility, claiming they didn’t put it there and refused to do anything about it. I pointed out that they should have inspected the area before installing the new parts, but he brushed it off with excuses and still refused to make it right. This kind of customer service is completely unacceptable. If this is how they treat attention to detail and accountability, I won’t be returning—and I’d strongly caution others to think twice before trusting their vehicle here.

My truck steering started coming apart while towing on the highway! Truck was going straight and steering wheel was turning. I got under, the drag link was separating. I had a big wrench and removable lock tite, I tightened it, and it got me home. I learned there's a safety recall. I read the service bulletin. The first step is to check the tightness, so I called Cephus in Service and explained my drag link came loose driving, and needed replaced. I shared my concern that when they do the inspection it will check okay, but in fact it realized the safety concern already. His explanation that he couldn't guarantee the recall would cover the replacement raised concern. He said it might not be covered because, his words, I "JB Welded it or whatever". He also implied the safety incident was my fault by saying "well actually, that recall is over 5 years old Sir", in a condescending tone. I bought the truck less than a year ago. Imagine calling yourself a "service" department with that type of response. If there's an open recall, and it's a safety concern, why on earth would you lead the customer to suspect they'd be responsible to cover the replacement? Based on his attitude, I wasn't willing to allow him the opportunity to give me the run around, or trying to incorporate the ridiculous weld repair (that renders your truck not able to be aligned). So I just ordered the xxxx part and will replace myself. It's worth $200 to not have to deal with idiots....we live in a clown world today unfortunately, and the main circus tent is this dealership.
