Final Review — Newins Ford of Bay Shore My experience with Newins Ford of Bay Shore was disappointing from beginning to end, primarily because of communication and follow-through. My initial contact with the dealership was on August 6, 2026, regarding a Ford Maverick. I first spoke with Tom Siraco, who emphasized his 45 years of experience. From my perspective, however, the conversation felt dismissive and I did not feel much effort was made to explore whether there were realistic options that might work for my situation. Despite that first impression, I decided to give Newins another opportunity. I later went into the dealership, had my Jeep evaluated, allowed my credit to be run, and began working with Anthony regarding a possible vehicle transaction. I understood from the beginning that there was never any guarantee that financing would work or that a particular deal would be approved. My issue was never the lender’s decision. My issue was the communication afterward. I waited approximately two weeks without meaningful progress or follow-up. That was frustrating because I had already invested my time, gone through the trade and credit process, and remained willing to work with the dealership. On August 22, I spoke with Matthew, the manager/owner, after receiving a voicemail from the dealership. I explained that I was still waiting to hear back regarding the transaction. My understanding was that Anthony was unavailable and that Matthew would reach out to him and have Anthony contact me. Matthew also discussed the negative reviews I had posted and expressed interest in resolving the situation, including the possibility of having the reviews removed if things could be worked out. I told him I was still willing to give Newins another opportunity. I later texted Matthew directly. My message showed as read on August 24. By August 25, I still had not received a response from him or the follow-up I had been told to expect from Anthony. I understand that employees take time off and can be unavailable. What I did not understand was why an active customer could not be handed off to another salesperson or why management could not simply provide an update. What stood out to me afterward was the amount of attention given to the negative reviews themselves. Management contacted me more than once asking that the reviews be removed and explaining that the reviews were affecting them professionally. I was willing to review and correct any specific factual inaccuracies that were brought to my attention. However, I was not comfortable removing a review simply because it was negative. In my opinion, the focus should not be on getting a negative review removed. The focus should be on the customer-service issue that caused the review in the first place. If a salesperson or manager tells a customer they are going to follow up, that follow-up should happen. If circumstances change, communicate that. Customers should not have to chase down salespeople or management for basic updates. What disappointed me most was that I genuinely gave Newins more than one opportunity to turn things around. I moved past my first interaction, came into the dealership, had my trade evaluated, allowed my credit to be run, remained interested in making a deal, and spoke directly with management when they contacted me. Yet I still ended up waiting for communication that never came as expected. I ultimately chose not to continue pursuing a vehicle purchase with Newins because I had lost confidence in the communication and customer-service process. Again, this review is not about blaming Newins because financing did not work out exactly how I wanted. My criticism is about communication, professionalism, and following through on what you tell a customer you are going to do. I started this experience disappointed, gave the dealership another chance, and unfortunately ended the experience even more disappointed.

Went in wanting something totally different left with something I didn’t really want. I’m actually pretty happy with it in the grand scheme of things. I wanted a 5.0 truck. Left with the 2.7 very nice truck very happy with the purchase very happy with the sales team allowing me to test drive the trucks and see all features
