I would not recommend Hawkins for a number of reasons.
I would not recommend Hawkins for a number of reasons. TLDR: The sales process and obtaining the car was easy, but do not expect adequate support once the money changes hands. A few months back, I called Hawkins regarding a Suburban they had on the lot and within a few hours placed a hold (with upfront $ involved), sight unseen. This had to have been one of the easiest sales Hawkins ever made. Unfortunately, this was probably the peak of our experience with them. We paid for Hawkins to handle the registration of the vehicle in our home state (they didn't allow another option). We had a temporary PA plate for 2 months and despite promises of our registration being completed before the plates expired, we ended up with an unusable car for 2 months while Hawkins continued to fumble with the registration process in our home state (failing to get documents together in time, not sending the correct information, etc.). We also found out that they overcharged us for our state's sales tax and have been nearly impossible to get in touch with despite verbal promises to send us a refund. You might be able to find the car you want, but be mindful of the support you will once you pay them, especially if you're out of state.

Awful customer service. Ryan in customer service was totally disrespectful after doing 15,000 in business in the last 3 months. AWFUL-RUDE-DISRESPECTFUL - UNSATISFIED

Erica of Hawkins reached out to me soon after inquiring
Erica of Hawkins reached out to me soon after inquiring about their Chevy Bolt. I asked if the car had a DCFC and whether or not its batteries have been replaced as part of GM's recall. She wasn't sure and said a rep would get back to me immediately. The rep never called but she checked back with me. The customer service (Erica) was great. Too bad the rep never followed through. She said she would inform management of the situation. This dealership seems ok, at least through email. I suspect their employees either don't know much about EVs or they don't want to talk about the battery situation unless it's face-to-face. I honestly wouldn't blame them if that were the case. It's got to be challenging selling a car with a potential fire hazard. It's possible they can't even get the batteries replaced because GM has run out. I would still recommend them simply for the fact they're will to take the risk of selling these awesome EVs that need a bit of TLC. Buyer BEWARE
Buyers BEWARE as this dealership has practiced bait and switch sales tactics. I went to their internet site for a new Chevy truck which was also advertised on cars.com. I clicked on their Shop, Click and Drive link to purchase the truck which shows your delivery is scheduled and what documents to bring. Then Jake reaches out and tells me the truck is already sold and gives me a lame excuse how their web site isn’t live timed and even custom built vehicles will show up on their site which makes no sense at all since if it was custom built it would already be considered sold so why post it on your site to irritate customers? Odd that other dealers don’t have this challenge. A total waste of my time and efforts and I hope other customers don’t have to experience the same.
