Dean Sellers Ford

I had a wonderful experience buying my 2020 Ford Explorer yesterday with Ivas Jarbou. This event was like night and day compared to the terrible experience I had on Monday (3-10-25) when I drove way out to a Ford dealership in Waterford to try and buy a vehicle that was sold by the time I arrived. I was greeted (at Dean Sellers Ford) as soon as I got out of my Edge and again when I got inside the Used Car building. Right from the start it felt like this was going to be a different journey. And it most definitely was. Ivas was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and honest. Before I took the vehicle on a test drive, I noticed the side view mirrors switch on the driver's door was broken. He said he would fix it and send the SUV back to get detailed again because there was still a lot of dog hair in the back half of the vehicle. We went back and forth to get the insurance and paperwork straight, and he personally said he would make sure the vehicle was clean and detailed (and whoever did it, did a very good job). Ivas made sure that I signed up for the Ford Pass app on my iPhone so that I could get my points added to my account. The vehicle was all clean and fixed at the agreed upon pick up time. Ivas made sure my trade-in vehicle was all cleaned out (I left an umbrella in the bottom of the driver's door) as well. The gentleman in charge of making sure that all the paperwork was signed was friendly and efficient too. Ivas transferred my license plate onto the Explorer and had the engine washed (because I mentioned it on Tuesday). Just before my wife and I left, he made sure that my phone was synced to the Exploxer, and activated my Ford Pass app so that my Explorer is now on my phone (which unlocked a new world of information about the vehicle that was now at my fingertips). We went to dinner and while eating, Ivas sent a text asking me how the ride home was. That blew us both away because my wife and I have bought, or helped someone buy, about 12-15 cars in our lives, and not one time did we experience that kind of dedication to customer service satisfaction. I then asked him about the automatic shutoff if the vehicle is stopped for about 10 seconds. Ivas told me where the switch was located and also sent a picture of the switch circled in red. That was not only fantastic, but quite unexpected. Ivas exhibited absolutely amazing customer service all the way around!! He is definitely an employee that Dean Sellers Ford should keep. I would recommend buying a car, SUV, truck, etc. from Ivas and the used car staff at Dean Sellers Ford in a heartbeat. That company appears to be putting customer care and satisfaction alongside great work in the service and financial department. I cannot say how significantly better and more respectful this vehicle purchase was yesterday, compared to the horrible and totally disrespectful attempt at buy an Explorer just three days earlier out in Waterford! Ivas, I will not need a newer vehicle for a few years at this point, but when that time comes back around, I will start with you and Dean Sellers Ford first! Thank you, thank you, thank you, for a much-needed breath of fresh air and a great buying experience! Keep up the great work!
