Rude salesman, no negotation

Whenever you go to buy a car, there's always an unspoken rule that there's always some give-and-take between the buyer and the seller. However, it doesn't seem to exist here. I was looking for a new car and decided to check out this Subaru lot. The cars looked pretty well kept and looked nice. A salesman came out and asked what I was interested in. I found a 2013 Impreza that looked nice and wanted to take it for a test drive. The first problem is that the salesman insisted on riding with the driver. He also made me follow a prescribed route where I couldn't accelerate beyond the speed limit (25mph). I know some dealers employ this policy, but when I'm test driving a car, I like to listen to how it sounds and feels instead of having to listen to the salesman talk about the stereo system or financing. When the test drive was over, he asked me what price I was looking at. The car seemed a bit on the expensive side even in early 2015 for a base model ($19.5k), so I threw out a number that was a few grand lower. What he told me I won't forget: "See that car over there?" (Points to a 2007 Subaru Outback). "That car has 120k miles and I sold that car for $12,000. If you want something at that price, you need to look at a car with more miles." And that was that. He pretty much made it clear that he had no intention of doing business with me or wanting to be flexible on price. If you want to buy a Subaru, I would make the effort to drive to another dealership.

Fast and Thorough Service

My car broke down on the highway in the middle of a long trip. Minooka Subaru was the closest dealer, and boy was that lucky! They had the parts in stock and got to work on the car immediately. The repairs were fast. Everyone was friendly and helpful -- literally every person we met there was great. I could not recommend this dealership enough. If they weren't two hours away from my house, I'd make them my primary mechanic. Since getting this new turbocharger I have put a thousand miles on my car, and it runs great.

Courteous and professional

I didn't purchase the vehicle, because it didn't suit my needs and I found a vehicle elsewhere, however, my experience was satisfying. I believe I spoke with Joe who wasn't pushy and went out of his way to be accommodating. He told me what I needed to hear...not what he thought I wanted to hear...it was refreshing.
