Dahl Ford I bought a used truck with 46k miles from this
Dahl Ford I bought a used truck with 46k miles from this dealership. Started out with a decent experience. We negotiated the price over text and I put a 10% down payment pending a test drive when I went to pick it up. It drove fine and we completed the purchase. After we completed the paperwork, I asked for the second key and the door code. They could not produce either but assured me that it was with the service center which was closed on Saturday. They would text me the code and mail the key to me. I said that was ok. On my way home, I noticed that the mileage was 5k more than what was listed online and what the price was negotiated for. I feel like an idiot for not catching it sooner. I called back and asked when the last oil change was done since it had been driven a few thousand miles. The salesman said “oh yeah, I noticed that”. And you didn’t mention it to me?!??!! I didn’t raise much of a fuss being a little embarrassed that I didn’t catch this sooner. I was told they would look into it and text me on Monday. They did text me the code on the Tuesday after I texted them multiple times but couldn’t find a key they said. They said they would make another and mail it to me. They also couldn’t verify when it was last serviced because the mechanic hadn’t got back to them. After I bugged them a couple more times the next couple days, they told me to go get a new key made and go get an oil change and send a receipt and they would reimburse me. Now it became my problem!?! I had to take 2.5 hours off work to deal with this xx. I go in to get it serviced and found out the battery also failed testing. I sent them a receipt through e-mail for all 3 (oil, battery and key) with a message to respond so I know they got it and also with a time I could expect reimbursement. I sent them a text 3 days after I got the work done to confirm they got my e-mail. Here it is a week later and no response. I can’t tell if I’m being ghosted or what. The $900 is a small price for the hassle and to correct what should have been already taken care of when I bought the truck (oil change, battery and key). This doesn’t even take into account how they misrepresented the mileage and never mentioned it, much less give me some sort of compensation for it! Be careful with this place!
