I had the good fortune of being greeted by Nick Kaham

I had the good fortune of being greeted by Nick Kaham when I went through the door at Greenfield Toyota, from that moment on I was treated like a Queen. Nick is so kind, knowledgeable, polite and helpful guiding you through the car buying process. I would give him a ten out of 10. Not only did I buy a car but now I have a new friend and the secure feeling that if I have any questions or problems with my car he will be there for me. Ruth Daigneault

I recently bought a Highlander from Toyota of Greenfield

I recently bought a Highlander from Toyota of Greenfield and it's the 4th vehicle we have purchased there. Shane Barbato goes over and above to ensure the best customer experience every time from start to finish! The rest of the team also delivers the same excellent service from evaluating your trade-in, financing your purchase and maintaining/repairing your vehicle as well. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, making the process of buying a vehicle painless and fun. Won't go anywhere else, they are the best!!

Extremely unhappy

purchased a 2020 Camry last spring for 28k plus extended warranty. All 4 tires needed to be replaced and the door lock didn’t work. Many body parts out of alignment and trim parts are missing. I took it to the car wash the other day and thought the dryer was going to blow the front trim off the car it was flapping so bad. I found out it was damaged in an accident. Roman , the salesman claimed there was a car fax given to me but that’s not true, my wife and I looked at all of the documentation and there was no car fax report. They purposely hid the history of this car. My niece explained her car from this place was a used budget rental car which wasn’t disclosed either. The tranny failed her in 21 days. She was stranded and Toyota of Greenfield only let her back out because she only had the car 21 days. She them went elsewhere. These guys are running a dishonest used car dealership along side of their new car dealership. Be aware and careful!!!!

The Worst

This repair shop very often finds extra repairs that may be unnecessary. After having front brakes done over a year ago that were never right, an intermittent loud grinding noise has happened ever since, I brought it back several times, was told they could not duplicate the sound, everything was fine. Yesterday returned it for the 4th time, now told I need new front brakes, 9k after the last replacement and that the pads were at 3mm, needing complete replacement. However, I had the pads measured last week at an independent garage I have long worked with that said they were 5mm, brakes just fine. I now have to pay Greenfield $250 for their inspection, giving me a faulty if not unlawful reading. My mistake for going back to them, these unnecessary repairs happened often when I brought it in over the years. Last year for the 60k servicing, another $2,500.00 of repairs were found, they saying everything in the rear end, struts, wheel bearings, sway bar links, everything needed replacing. In addition, that servicing was supposed to check the spark plugs but they only checked 2, saying the others were too difficult to get to. One of those hard to get to plugs failed shortly after the maintenance, incurring another costly repair and towing chage where they finally did inspect all the plugs. As evidenced by the low milage, this car is hardly driven, on highways by elders. I don't know that all that work actually needed to be done. With the current dispute over pad measurements, the difference meaning another $650 in brake work to Toyota Greenfield, I have lost trust in this organization and will get my car and not be back. Their reply to the fact they came up with almost half the brake pad size that another shop having confirmed the larger size of 5mm was that the other shop must have measured wrong. In MA, much of this is potentially against the law. As an Attorney, I will have them answer in court. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Transgender and Queer Customers Beware

The sales manager, Craig Bodenstein, was hostile to my spouse when she came in to make a deposit on the new minivan we were purchasing. My partner is a nonbinary transgender woman, and when she responded defensively to being repeatedly misgendered (said "Please stop f**king calling me 'sir'"), Craig reacted aggressively and initially said he would refuse to do business with her/us. He also refused to put on a mask, prior to the lifting of the Massachusetts mask mandate, when my partner asked him to do so. We have an immunocompromised person and an unvaccinated child in our household, so we are still dealing with substantial risk from COVID. Another sales associate, Roman Goretstkiy, smoothed over the situation enough that I could put the deposit down over the phone--which the internet coordinator Tricia Carignan had said was not possible to do. She had, in fact, said that they didn't take deposits to hold cars at all, which was patently incorrect. She also accidentally offered me a $500 lower price on the vehicle than they could actually give, which I only discovered after making the deposit. In short, my spouse made an unnecessary trip to the dealership an hour's drive away from our home at which she was misgendered and verbally attacked by Craig. To be fair, none of the other employees behaved so badly, but this one bad apple made us feel very rotten about the whole experience. If there weren't a vehicle shortage and no other 2021 Toyota Siennas in stock within a 150-mile radius, we would not have subsequently done business with this dealership, but we didn't have any other options. If you do, please take your business elsewhere.

Dealer response

Thank you for your feedback, Alyssa. We always appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow personally and professionally. Our staff is primarily made up of cisgender individuals who work diligently to navigate the gender identity spectrum with respect and care. However, we sometimes encounter a learning curve when identifying proper pronouns. Incorrect use of pronouns on our behalf was due to ignorance and not conscious discrimination or malevolence. To be perfectly honest, we are surprised by this review. Certainly, there was a tense first meeting between your spouse and my sales manager. However, by your own admission your spouse can be 'prickly.' They also exhibited aggressive behavior towards our staff and was openly yelling and swearing in our showroom. Despite this belligerent behavior we moved forward with the transaction because you agreed to pay the additional $500 and admonished that you were a 'motivated buyer'. The remainder of the transaction was seamless and we even went so far as to physically go to the DMV to get the vehicle registered with an out of state license, which is not common practice. Thank you for your feedback, your business and we wish your family the best of luck as you adjust to your relocation to Massachusetts. Jennifer Weeks

Beyond Amazing Service!

Recently I went in to purchase a used 2010 Honda fit and the service guy I had (Roman Goretskiy) Was AMAZING! He knew what he was doing, direct and to the point, respectful and very confident in the services he provided. 10/10, I would purchase another vehicle from him through the Toyota Dealership!

Very Good

Have used Toyota of Greenfield for 20 years for buying and service. Recently leased a Corolla. Roman was very helpful in showing all the new details on the car and answered all my questions clearly, so I felt confident using them.
