Came to Autex Mazda knowing exactly the car I wanted.
Came to Autex Mazda knowing exactly the car I wanted. Just wanted to test drive, and if I like it planned on leaving with it. Test drive went great told sales person let's go back I want it. He then told me he had another car he wanted me to try, told me about it , I let him know I saw it already and wasn't interested in it, was out of my price range, he talked a bit more about , I politely shut it down. Great, let's get this done. Everything went well until I told finance manger I wasn't interested in any extended warranty, that he didn't need to go through the plans. Totally different service, he was no longer friendly and warm. He was rude and made me tension. He called me into his office to do paperwork, after waiting patiently. I started signing forms, noticed that the address was wrong... when I stated that, he then said to me rudely " Well bud where do you live.." I said I live at the address that is on my paperwork. He then got up to his desk. I guess he realized his mistake , made him more pissy , and by this time I was over it just wanted out of there. Printed off new paperwork, got it done. Never said anything just okay your all set. Not thank you fir your business or e joy your new car... Very unprofessional. I knew what I wanted an did my own research, also new what I could afford. Rude, and unprofessional. I love my car! But didn't love the experience.

Let me describe my very disappointing experience with
Let me describe my very disappointing experience with Autex this summer. I had done my homework and knew what the used car I test drove should be going for. I had a maximum price I was prepared to spend, which was right in the middle for for a reasonable price for both buyer and seller. Additionally, they charge nearly $500 for the "administration fee" which is essentially pure profit on top of the retail price. First, the layout of the office offers absolutely no privacy when having any type of discussion, including pricing and finance. The tables are just a few feet apart and no private offices and anybody can listen in. Second, the "Sales Consultants" are anything but that, they should instead be called "Customer Service Agents." At least the person I had, Steve, said he does not get involved with price negotiation. It simply indicated to me either Steve was too new for management to let him get involved in any pricing (doubtfully) or they simply did not trust him with negotiating. Very bizarre to say the least. So, Steve coordinated the test drive and answered questions about the car, then the next stage was being met by the Mark, the business manager, who upon first appearance, I thought he drifted in from the service department. He immediately and only pushed what the financing price would be (another way for them to make profit) and I told him we would be paying "X" and it would be cash. After disappearing behind the counter to whisper to Gretchen, the General Sales Manager, she reappeared, didn't even bother to introduce herself or sit down and simply stood over and handed me a written down figure which was only $200 off the resale price! I was incredibly insulted and told her "thank you" and got up and left. Steve later texted me to say that Autex is known as being competitive on their used cars, blah, blah, blah which merely translates to the fact they are not interested or willing to take anything but a silly token amount off the car. Oh, it is important to know that the car had been sitting on the lot for eight weeks when I test drove it and it then sold over eight weeks later. They were clearly not interested in selling it. Do yourself a favor, take the time to travel to another dealership.

Hunter was an amazing sales rep! He was very knowledgeable and helpful in my car purchase today! From my Road test, to his thorough explanations of the car functions, helping me with my insurance, phone apps, clean out my old car. And lastly thing my pic with my new car! Gretchen and Mark were their usual wealth of knowledge. Mark worked wonders for my first lease (I'd always bought), and explained every step of the way to me. Happy to be in my 5th Mazda today!
