Best Salesman on the Seacoast

Mark Weatherby is one of the main reasons this establishment is successful. He is very knowledgeable, helpful and not your typical high pressure salesman. I highly recommend him if you are looking to have a pleasing experience buying your next vehicle.

Good Overall experience with a few flaws.

As stated on the title, the overall experience went well, our salesman John did an amazing job and gave us absolutely no pressure at all, I went to test a truck I' had seen on autotrader and ended up buying it the same day. The vehicles they have on inventory are very good quality and at great prices, and the experience with John couldn't have been better. On the not so positive side, the truck I bought happen to come with only one set of keys and even though I would've liked for them to offer one for free since every dealer normally give you 2 keys every time you buy a car, they did offer to get us one at "cost" price, and they asked us to come back the following Tuesday when the key guys was going to be there. well, After taking a day off from work, and driving 1 hour and 15 minutes away from my house with my 2 children to be there by 2:00 pm as they told us, came to find out the key guy "had already used" the only key fob that match my truck in another vehicle and the finance person I had dealt with a week earlier couldn't really care less about it only to tell us that we had to come back the next week again because the key guy only comes once a week. So, after telling him I couldn't loose another day of work to come back he promised they would call us back the next day to find another provider closer to our house to make the key. (well, after no call for the rest of the week) I called John back on a Friday and told him what had happened and he got the key guy to call me back the next day to schedule the key programming, so A for John for his willingness to make things right but a little disappointed about the finance guy who I trusted days earlier on everything he sold us. Overall I would recommend, and even buy again from this dealer, but for the person at the dealer who made me waste time, fuel and money I would advise him to keep his promises or at least try to and not act careless after you have already completed the sale. **Just to finish and be clear: other than this bad experience, EVERYONE ELSE, ESPECIALLY JOHN, was excellent, and really helpful and friendly.**

Great Experience! John is the best!

I bought a 2018 Ford Escape here last week! I had a great experience. Prior to coming into Portsmouth Used Car Center I had been to a few other dealerships and looked at a few cars. None of the sales people at those dealerships treated me with the same level of respect and excitement that John at Portsmouth did. I came in initially to look at Escapes. John took the time to speak with me and understand what I was looking for in a vehicle and what I really wanted to have. He showed me a few options and let me drive all of them! John was so friendly and really engaging! John answered all my questions about the car and if he wasn’t sure of the answer he would find someone who did. I would highly recommend working with Portsmouth Used Car and John in particular! You could not ask for a greater bunch- JP and Dave are great as well and very friendly! Thank you Portsmouth Used Car Center!

It is great to deal with professionals!

I recently purchased a 2017 Mustang from Portsmouth Ford Used Car Center. It had a couple of issues with tire wear and a convertible top support, so I called the salesman (Bob Brent) and he asked that I schedule a service appointment. I did so and brought it in. Their service manager (Lynda) was very attentive and thorough. She brought me out to the car to discuss the issues with the technician and he repaired the top support. She then offered to replace two of the tires if I agreed to replace the other two and get an alignment done. I agreed and the service was completed in about an hour. The car drives like new. I am very satisfied. Thanks to all of the folks at Portsmouth Used Car Center who worked with me. They are customer service professionals. Purchasing the car went smoothly also. The price was fair and the process was easy. I was in and out in a couple of hours. Thanks again.

Car was ready for test drive with just a prior phone call which was nice and convenient. Sales process also went smooth upon arrival. Only mix up was a voice mail not listened to prior to arrival. All corrected upon arrival

Excellent Sales Service

My husband and I went in to Portsmouth Ford Used Car and were lucky enough to find a vehicle we fell in love with. Our sales person Robert Brent was wonderful and made the process very smooth from the first hello to the car pick up. I would highly recommend purchasing a car from this dealership and especially from Robert.

Never again

Purchased a vehicle over the phone with salesman. Was told I would have check in hand and ready to drive away following day. Following day arrives, check in hand at dealership and was told by salesman that vehicle would not be ready to drive away today. Salesman knew this for hours without notifying me, knowing exactly what time I would be arriving and I lived 45 minutes away. Purchased vehicle on a Saturday, was told vehicle needed brakes and would be ready Monday. I arrived Following Thursday, after communicating with same salesman to pick up vehicle, and was told it was being cleaned and wouldn’t be ready for another hour. Worst experience at a dealership ever!
