Don't ever take any of your vehicles to hastings ford or any of the hastings auto group cause there thieves that would rather lie to your face than treat you with respect. There misunderstanding cost them a customer and an employee cause they have no morals or values . And on top of anything dont ever ask for any kind of refund cause they will just stop doing business with you period . Another ford dealership laughed at hastings ford and said they were wrong with the way they handled my situation plus the owner didn't even investigate the problem

Update to previous review, I took the car into the dealership today. Gave them a letter of everything that happened to the manager. He went and talked to the appropriate people. Than had a detailed clean it and do what he could also said if that did work they had another solution to try. The car now smells new again after a month and my wife can finally ride in it again. I want to apologize and thank the Manager for understanding and helping us fix the horrible smell. I at this point would definitely buy from Hastings Ford again.

Just a quick note to THANK YOU!! It was easy working with you guys with your help and knowledge. I picked a new truck in the showroom. This is my 2nd truck from Hastings Ford. Can't wait to drive up to the lake. Keep up the great work Zach Large (salesman) and Bruce Dorman (sales manager)!

Had my car in for service at Hastings Ford for new tires

Had my car in for service at Hastings Ford for new tires and some repairs etc. Nicole, the service advisor, was wonderful. She has great communication and kept me updated with progress of repairs. Nicole also handled all of the communication and dealing with the warranty company, which I really appreciated. It was really helpful having just one service advisor to work with and ended up liking that the service department was smaller and not as hectic as others. I really appreciate having my “go to lady” in the service dept. 😊

We had a great experience with Mitch!

We had a great experience with Mitch! When we got to the dealership for our test drive he was super familiar with the vehicle and was able to tell us all the details. I have worked with sales associates at dealerships who are not familiar with all the features like that, so I really appreciated him doing his homework and being prepared and knowledgeable. The dealership is kid friendly, clean and everyone is really nice to work with. We will come back if and when we need another vehicle!

If you are lonely or just enjoy wasting your time this is

If you are lonely or just enjoy wasting your time this is the place for you. Imagine telling a salesman and the manager your price range and them showing you a used car (the manager specifically) saying it would be in that range, only to spend your day test driving, going home to pick up family members with more mechanical expertise to check out the vehicle, then upon returning have a different salesman take over, and later have that salesman play the "let me go tak to my manager" game and coming back with a price 30% higher than what you clearly stated was the high end of your range, then when leaving have the manager come out and claim they aren't there to waste people's time. Hilarious, right? Wow, what a way to spend a weekend day. Even more fun than a traffic jam or being on hold for tech support in India. Why isn't negative stars an option? They did impress me with one thing, that level of disrespect is off the charts. These guys are why used car salesmen are disliked.

I purchased a For Fusion Monday (06/02/2025.

I purchased a For Fusion Monday (06/02/2025. I took it for a test drive and all was well. I asked about the condition of the engine and I was told that it was good. I asked about a message I saw on the panel ("tire pressure sensor fault") I asked about that and was told that it only meant that the tire pressure was low. I was OK with that. Easy solution: inflate the tires. I checked the temperature needle and it looked OK. The sales rep also looked at the panel and told me: "As you can see, it is right where it should be". To which I said :"Great!". I picked up the car that evening and when I stopped at a gas station to inflate the tires, both: the engine light and the oil light were on. I immediately texted the sales rep to let him know about it. Even though it was his day off, he called me. I asked him what I should do and he asked me to contact Amanda at the dealership. She told me that it was an "as is" car and then told me that I should have noticed that hose two lights were on when I took the car for a test drive. They were not on when I went on my test drive. She agreed to have the check engine light checked, but she refuses to have the reason for the oil light checked, unless I pay of it. As of today, the check engine keeps coming on and off sporadically (if was not on when I test drove the car). The oil light is still on. As if having those two lights come on less than 50 miles from the dealership was not bad enough, I later found out that while I was at another dealership looking at at similar car (same model and year) someone else test drove this car and refused to buy it because of the light issue. Yet the Sales Manager from Hastings Ford called me and lured me out of the other dealership saying that she would match their price although the car she offered had 20K miles less. I took her offer. I've been had.

I worked with Brady and the whole buying experience went smoothly. The sales and finance staff is very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. It was worth the drive from Des Moines to buy there!
