If I could give negative stars, I would. I’m a disabled military veteran, and at the time I went to Tacoma Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM (4101 S Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA 98409), I was also recovering from a serious brain injury. This dealership knew that and still took advantage of me. Eugene, one of their salesmen, sold me a base model Jeep Gladiator for over $87,000, a vehicle worth maybe $50,000 at the time. He packed the deal with over-the-top add-ons, like a $1,500 rock chip repair package, and other inflated extras that were not clearly explained or necessary. Worse, Eugene personally filled out my loan application and falsified my income and employment information. He exaggerated my financial status, pointing to my previously paid-off BMW to claim I was self-employed and earning more than I actually did. These were straight-up lies. When I caught on, Gavin stepped in, pretending to help by taking back the Gladiator. But instead of fixing the problem, he sold me a Jeep Wrangler for around $55,000, when it should have been worth $30,000–$35,000 at most. Now, my Wrangler, with only 14,000 miles, is valued around $27,000–$31,000 — meaning I ate a massive loss. I even had to take out a loan against my home just to pay off the Jeep and avoid monthly payments of over $1,100, which is more than my first house mortgage. This dealership works in a predatory way. They manipulate numbers, misrepresent facts, and target people like me — military veterans and vulnerable buyers — especially given how close they are to Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM).
