Amazing Service one would expect when purchasing a vehicle including the amazing service department. It’s one thing to be happy with the vehicle you purchased let alone liking the salesperson involved, however what truly sets this dealership apart is its continued level of service that continues after the purchase, particularly from the Service Department. The Service Manager, Ron is truly polite and helpful and when it comes to customer service and satisfaction Jorge Quevedo is the man. This is definitely not your typical service department nor dealership as there level of quality of service separates them apart from any dealership and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle!

IF YOU DON'T SPEAK SPANISH, I'LL SAVE YOU TIME. DO NOT BUY HERE. Voy a empezar diciendo que fui recomendado por alguien que acababa de comprar una carro ahi. La experiencia iba bien, accedi a comprar un carro usado porque se acercaba mucho a lo que queria pagar. esa noche despues de horas ellos me dicen que no hay garantias y que tampoco podia comprar garantias extendidas o GAP insurance. En ese momento me quise retirar del negocio y la de finanzas llamo a Juan el vendedor y entre los dos me convencieron de que el carro venia en perfectas condiciones que el dealership se encargaba de entregarlo en buenas condiciones. Llevo dos meses con el carro y ha pasado mas dias en servicio que conmigo, ahora requiere de un arreglo de mas de $2000 por una pieza que no se rompe de la noche a la mañana. Que casualidad que despues de los 14 dias de garantia todo le empezo a fallar. Ahora ventas se lava las manos, Henry el manager para la venta estuvo siempre super pendiente, ahora ni me responde, ayer mientras estaba en servicio me paso por el lado y me ignoro. Que pena que se aprovechen de la gente por una comision. es la peor decision haber ido donde ellos. El el mismo departamento de servicio me dijeron que esto hubiera podido ser detectado. Es decir que estan vendiendo carros viejos y dañados. NO COMPREN EN UN DEALER COMO ESTE SON MUY DESHONESTOS.

Elgin Hyundai is a team that treats those who walk in like people, not customers. They aren’t trying to get you for the most money or a commission, they genuinely want to help. My wife and I’s one car broke down a week before Christmas. We needed something that we could afford and be reliable for her to get to work and for us to run errands. Mike & Alfonso listened to us and fought for us. They gave us every deal and break they could and made it a great experience. We weren’t expecting to buy the brand new 2025 Kona, but it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Not only a great vehicle, but the peace of mind that comes with the warranty, maintenance services, and follow up weeks after purchasing, that made us feel cared for. Months later, I have a new job that requires me in office 5 days a week after working from home for 5 years. After test driving terrible used cars elsewhere, I bring my wife back to see their used cars, feeling as though theirs will be in great condition for a great price. Jim in sales (with Mike’s partnership), again, heard my story and my needs. Showed me some used cars, but made a better deal for a brand new Elantra Sport trim for about the same monthly cost as a used car. Again, fought to give us every deal and break they could to make the numbers work for our life. Went in looking at a 16 Cruze & 18 Malibu, they sold me a brand new 2025 Elantra and couldn’t have felt better about the decision Jim, Alfonso, Mike…Thank you for everything. You made a harrowing ordeal feel so much easier than I could imagine.

I was there today because, as it turns out, the service
I was there today because, as it turns out, the service team damaged a tire pressure sensor a few weeks ago when replacing one of my tires. So the fact that I was there at all was very annoying. But I was treated courteously, given a reasonable expectation of how long it would take, (that time estimate was accurate) and a clear statement that the problem was due to an error by the service department. I appreciate that acceptance of accountability. The oil change and car wash was nice, too.

I had the “pleasure” of leasing a vehicle from Elgin
I had the “pleasure” of leasing a vehicle from Elgin Hyundai, and everything went well at first while I was working with the sales manager — he was professional and handled everything correctly. But when it came time to finalize documents with the general manager, things took a turn. He made a major mistake in the paperwork by listing the color of the car as black instead of white. Because of this, I’ve been pulled over by police several times since my license plate is registered to a black vehicle — while my car is clearly white. I went back to Elgin Hyundai to resolve the issue and submitted a written complaint, but the general manager, Ismail Meah , refused to accept it, offered no help whatsoever. He walked away while I was still trying to talk to him — completely ignoring me. Ismail Meah (General manager ) clearly needs training in basic customer communication. You don’t get to be rude to customers — especially when the issue is your dealership’s fault. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and I strongly hope Hyundai corporate reviews how their managers handle customer concerns.

After submitting a credit application, I was approved for a vehicle and was assured that it would be held for me. However, I waited two weeks to pick it up, only to find out upon my inquiry that the car had been sold wholesale without any prior notice. There was no communication from the dealership regarding this change, and I was left in the dark without updates. Even more concerning was that they still had my personal information but did not make any effort to rectify the situation or offer alternatives. Instead, they just sent me a link to other cars that were outside my desired range and without any negotiation on pricing or discounts. I did not receive a call from a manager or any attempt to resolve the issue, which felt incredibly unprofessional. Overall, my experience was incredibly frustrating, and I cannot recommend Elgin Hyundai to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. Save your time and money!
