I have had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with this dealership regarding my 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan. Over the last several months, my vehicle has repeatedly been brought in for the same fuel system/fuel pump related issue, with multiple failed repair attempts. Despite being without my vehicle numerous times and dealing with ongoing safety concerns, the issue still has not been properly resolved. What has made this experience even worse is the lack of transparency and professionalism from dealership management and staff. I requested repair documentation and records of the repeated repair attempts, but the dealership appeared reluctant to provide them. It felt like efforts were being made to minimize or hide the repair history, which directly impacts my ability to receive trade assistance and support through Volkswagen. During my interactions with management, Director Aaron Potter was rude, dismissive, and intimidating when I attempted to advocate for myself and my family’s safety concerns. Instead of treating the situation with professionalism and respect, I felt pressured and spoken down to for simply asking questions and requesting accountability after multiple failed repairs. I also felt that I was treated differently and not taken as seriously, and I personally felt discriminated against as a female customer during these interactions. My concerns were often dismissed or not given the same level of respect and urgency that I would expect in a situation involving repeated mechanical failures and safety concerns. To make matters worse, when I picked up my vehicle after one repair visit, the car smelled strongly of gasoline, which immediately made me feel unsafe driving it — especially with my children in the vehicle. No customer should leave a dealership feeling less safe than when they arrived. I understand that repairs can sometimes be complicated, but customers deserve honesty, communication, and respect. After multiple failed repair attempts, ongoing safety concerns, and the way I was treated by management, I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience. I hope ownership and Volkswagen take these concerns seriously and work toward improving customer treatment and accountability moving forward.

Rude staff and owner. If they don't think you are going to spend a bunch of money they treat you like dirt. Bought my mustang somewhere else!

I was notified of a safety recall on my 2021 F-150, I called in to make a appointment, I was told the service technician would come to me! Wow!! Saved me from having to drive 30 miles! Great service as always from Dick Witham!

Very friendly staff, very attentive, they made us feel like family; I wish all the staff at Whitam Auto Center much success in everything you do, I am surprised at how they treated us, and I know I will be back soon, blessings.

After having my car serviced at Dick Witham in Cedar Falls, Iowa I drove around running errands and drove home, about 35 miles away. The check oil light came on just before I got home, called withams and service gal says, oh that just means your car needs to be serviced. I said I don't think so. When I got home I looked under car and oil is running out. VW had car towed back to withams, and they basically filled it with oil and cleaned the car up and said the car is ready to go. They would not give any warranty for future engine damage. Never will buy a car from withams or a vw product.
