I was wanting to purchase a very specific car. I found the car in Michigan and requested it. It was shipped to the Car Max in middle TN. I had lots of communication online from CarMax at every stage of the process. The car was exactly what I had requested, the purchasing process was straightforward. I am still waiting for the car title. There is no lien.

A truly easy and painless experience! My wife and I came prepared with our own financing, so we were in and out in about 45 minutes. They never even tried to talk us into alternative financing options. The online pricing was completely transparent—the amount listed, factoring in my down payment, was exactly what I paid, with zero pressure for upsells. They also went above and beyond with customer service: we noticed a small, damaged part on the back window, and they ordered and delivered a replacement to us in less than a week. My only wish is that they offered a military discount, but that definitely won't stop me from returning. Highly recommend CarMax!

I purchased my car from Ms. Vicki at Carmax in Madison, TN at the beginning of May. My car that I'd had for 16 years had to unexpectedly be replaced. I truly believe that Ms. Vicki was meant to be my salesperson during such a stressful time. From the beginning to the end, she was understanding of my situation and made the car buying experience for my husband and I an easy one! She didn't give off the "pushy car salesperson" vibes and had conversation with me like she cared. When responding to her question about what I was looking for in a vehicle, one of the things that I stated was a sun visor, because the ones in my old car were broken. To my surprise, when I first used my visor in my new car, Ms. Vicki had placed a handwritten note in there for me! It's the little things like that that bring customers back. Ms. Vicki also had stress xxxxx on her desk that helped ease the car being anxiety. I will be back to Carmax for my next vehicle. Hopefully, Ms. Vicki is still there when that time comes!

Purchase was extremely smooth. Completed test drive and all paperwork in 90 minutes. No pressure to buy a warranty or financing. Not part of the dealership sale, but I wish the tracking of the vehicle in transit was more clear. Got a message that it left one state and it was 5 days later before there was another update and the distance between states was only about 8 hours. I expected it to take a few days, but not having any way to track it's progress was frustrating and made it difficult to plan for when it would be ready for a test drive.
