Please see my review on Google. Go; NO run and see Delilah Martinez! She is the Best Sales Person there! What an Amazing experience we had at Smart Chevrolet. We were immediately greeted upon walking on the lot for a pre-schedule visit. Their eagerness, professionalism went above and beyond. If you go to Smart, please make sure you ASK for Delilah Martinez! She was Awesome! Her keen ability to go above and beyond was Fantastic. She will work your deal, follow-up with you and ensure complete satisfaction. Unfortunately, we didn’t purchase due to the location not having the 2021 High Country Edition Tahoe that I insisted on...I will send my family and friends to her without any hesitation. I ran used car dealerships in the past before embarking on my own business and she definitely would be someone I would hire without hesitation. Keep up the great work Delilah you have a Bright Future in car sales. If you are in the market for a dependable, reliable, affordable used car please go to Smart Chevrolet and ask for Delilah! I’ve been working at dealerships for over 25 years I will say they are the worst I’ve dealt with they talked to me like I was a bum right off the street if anyone is considering buying a vehicle u better go somewhere else nasty attitude for a crappy dealership

Great Front-Line Staff (Delilah)

Delilah was excellent to work with. Outstanding professionalism and customer service - the only reason for the 5 stars. Every car dealership should hire sales staff that make customers feel valued and welcomed as much as Delilah did.

I have not purchased a vehicle from this dealership and...

I have not purchased a vehicle from this dealership and never will after my contact with CHAD COURTNEY. If that even his real name. I saw a truck I liked on line and filled out the on line application for credit on Friday. Mindy I get an email from Chad asking what I want to do with theses approvals (plural). I asked where he got the approvals from, what were the credit limits and the APRs I’d said approvals. I checked my credit reports and only had one inquiry. Then this dummy put my info in with 3 other finance companies. These are hard inquiries and they ding your credit. He then followed up with what I want to to do and if nothing he would mark them dead. Unethical sales practices.

Awesome Experience

I contacted Smart Chevrolet about test driving a vehicle. They were able to get me in at a time that worked best for me. Everyone I dealt with was professional and very nice. I didn’t feel out of place or uncomfortable. This was my first car buying experience and I’m glad I went with Smart Chevrolet!

Liar Liar Pants on Fire

Got the vehicle from an online ad, then worked with the local salesman to complete the deal. There was an agreement to supply a second key and a couple of missing plastic body parts... fast forward to 3 weeks later when still waiting for my new tags and of course the "Used Car Salesman" denies everything. Then I go to the dealership to fix the issue, the salesman gets me in the office of the supposed sales manager and they both lie to me. I mention I would post a negative review and the alleged sales manager threatens to post my financial information if I did so. So, if they still work there, avoid Scottie Arant and Mike Hardy. Avoid the dealership as well, but if you have to go there avoid at least these two.

Bad business

I got approved for truck went two hours away and truck wasn’t evening been serviced had all bald tires screw in one seats was cracked and they approved me for this truck with loan at 40000 on a work truck that’s beat all the xxxx with tons of stuff wrong with it I drove two hours went in and they started grabbing my paper work just ask me what u need they was rushing to sell me a truck that wasn’t evening Inspected or serviced state law u can’t sale vehicle that way and I’m take photos of truck they showed me like was I’m getting people involved over this I’m calling state dot dmv over this and then they done nothen but lie

BUYER BEWARE!!

I was asked to leave a 5 star review through text message, that won't be happening. We bought a 2016 Subaru Forester from Smart Chevrolet one month ago. We drove 5 hours from Virginia with our one year old son. Before making the drive we asked a lot of questions about the vehicle. It has 130k so we wanted to make sure it was as nice as they were trying to portray. Every time we asked we were told it was perfect. We made the drive and when we got there we were told the vehicle actually had "a little cosmetic damage that was fixed" but other than that, it was perfect. No accidents or structural damage is what we were told. The test drive went well and we decided to buy the vehicle for a little under 15k. The first hour or so of the drive was fine until we picked up speed. The car begin humming and vibrating at high speeds. When we got home we decided to have it checked over worried they didn't balance the tires, etc. That's when we found out it has two horribly bent wheels, the radiator support has been welded back in, the tires weren't balanced, there was spray paint overspray on the top of the vehicle near the windshield and on the passenger side door, they recently put in a control arm and it wasn't properly torqued, and the cherry on top, it needs a transmission. We started calling the dealership repeatedly a week after we got home and didn't end up talking to anyone for 3 weeks. When I talked to the manager his incompetence was baffling. During the conversation he asked why I didn't buy an extended warranty. I told him we had talked to multiple people over the phone that guaranteed us a car in perfect working order, we were also reassured in person. I then asked Chad does that mean that your customers can't trust the word of your employees and should rely solely on their own eyes when buying a car from your dealership. His reply? " I guess". Chad, you truly made my jaw drop in that moment. If that is the case, your dealership has no business selling cars online and shipping them. The only thing we were offered was having a used transmission put in the car for $2,400. By the same employees that can't torque a control arm properly? That sounds like a great idea. There were also 3 open recalls on the car that should've been fixed before I purchased it. Another issue, I still don't have my tags. I've had expired temporary tags on my car since the 15th. It is now the 23rd. As I read through the reviews I realized this isn't uncommon with Smart Chevrolet. They are CONSTANTLY messing up. They also sent us home with the wrong paperwork, giving us the hard copies. This place is a mess. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. The bad reviews aren't lying or exaggerating. This is the type of dealership where you either have good luck or bad luck, but that's all it is. There is no quality control with the vehicles they buy and sell. I filed a complaint to the BBB in North Carolina. If you had a similar experience I recommend you do the same.
