Repeat customer, very pleased

Have bought many cars from Smart Cars over the years. Always been treated fair and they know you by name when you walk in.Their inventory has something for whatever you may be looking for. The entire staff always does whatever they can to make you feel at ease and answer any questions you may have. I will continue to do business with them and tell others to go visit them for their next car. Could not ask for better customer service and attitude... top notch! Thanks for everything folks!

Very helpful

I didn't end up purchasing the car I drove here, but they were very helpful and even let me test drive the vehicle to work for a day to really get a feel. When I need to buy a car again in the future, I would definitely check here.

Great Dealer that Keeps His Word

I will first start off by saying that Bert(sp?) Wieland is a stand up guy. Everyone at the dealership was extremely friendly and helped me through the buying process. As I was looking for where to write a review for my purchasing experience, I saw a horrible review of Smart Cars by what I can only assume was a prospective buyer of the vehicle I purchased. I had been talking to Bert on and off for over 2 weeks about the vehicle and he kept me informed through every step. If something changed, he would call me. When the truck was finally available Bert called and let me know that the truck would be ready that afternoon and I scheduled the time to come test drive the truck. Bert and I had already worked out the price for the vehicle and we had agreed that I would purchase the vehicle if the test drive went well and the truck was what was described. He went out of his way to make sure I was a happy customer. There is always the flip side of the coin. I would not hesitate for a second to do business with them again.

Don't waste your time or money

This dealership is an unorganized mess; don't waste your time or money trying to do business wit them. I paid a baby-sitter Saturday and drove over 2.5 hours; then drove 2.5 hours the next Friday and used a day of paid time-off. What do I get from these stereotypical used car dealers?...tough, this other guy that the owner talked to is coming in 3 hours and he gets first opportunity to buy it. I've dealt with many dealerships and this was by far my worst experience. I will stick with the hassle of new car dealerships.

Great Dealership!!!

I was looking for a good dependable used car which fit into my budget. My dad and I were both looking in our respective areas of the state as we are 2 1/2 hours away from each other. He found a car that he thought I might be interested in, checked it out and I decided to make the almost 3 ? hour drive from my home near the coast to see it on my weekend off. I was surprised this small town dealer had so many nice vehicles and then I met Bert, the man who owns Smart Cars and I met his staff. Besides the car I really liked I found the people to be so friendly, helpful and actually genuine in their desire to help me find the right car. Even though I already had my eye on one I wasn?t pushed or pressured to get that one because ?there are other people looking at it?. They gave me space, let me test drive the car on my own and we were at leisure to decide what I wanted. By the time I had gone through the whole process and spent some time with the people there I can honestly say this is a great place to find and buy your pre-owned vehicle. Ashley is the General Manager and Bert?s daughter. She was so nice, laid back and helpful and when it came to do the paperwork she was thorough and professional as well as friendly. I bought a 2009 Impala and I love it. This is the first car of my own. I?m very glad I went to the small town of Pittsboro, NC and I would suggest you do too! Nice people, great cars and oh yeah? Ashley?s dog ?Ozzie? that patrols the office area. LOL! He?s such a cutie and adds to the family atmosphere you will find when you visit Smart Cars by Wieland.

An Impressive way of doing business & quality cars

Go to Smart Cars by Wieland and you will see this is an easy going and comfortable place to shop for your pre-owned car or truck! You will be talking about the selection of high quality vehicles, the personable owner and staff and you will even be gushing about the adorable office mascot, Ashley's dog, Ozzie, who also greets you when you walk in. Bert Weiland owns Smart Cars, has been in business for 30 years and he cares about honesty and doing it right. His entire staff works on this principle, it's his way of doing business. My daughter bought a 2009 Impala from Smart Cars that she loves! I made the initial trip to see the car, came back next day to drive it when I had more time and returned with my daughter the day she drove it and bought it. By the end of the process I had made three 45 minute drives to Smart Cars because I wanted to. I got to know Ashley, the Gen. Mgr., who also bills out the contracts in the office and helps people obtain the best possible financing, to Dallas in sales and TJ and Tim in the service department, an equally outstanding part of this whole operation. Everyone of these people are knowledgeable, courteous and helpful without being pushy or pressuring. They are all like Bert, the one who started this business and who has kept a solidly positive reputation for all that time. I happened to pick out the car that "made it through" to the lot without being thoroughly checked in. The individual who was found to be the reason for this was no longer employed there before I got to Smart Cars the first time and at the time this car was put out for sale it was not known anything was ignored. The two minor issues proved to be time consuming for them and the shudder which appeared only after the brakes heated up on a longer drive meant the brakes needed a little work. The good part about all of this is when I brought this to Bert's attention he didn't just do the minimum to correct the problem he had the brakes replaced with all new parts and ordered new parts for the another issue and made fixing this car right a priority. They took the time it needed to get things right to match his quality statement that everything will be fixed before it hits the lot. He was clearly bothered by the fact a vehicle was out for sale that obviously had escaped the thorough checks they put them through. There is only one way to label everything from the selection of vehicles to the laid back "homey" atmosphere to the genuine desire to help people get the right vehicle and the best financing if it's needed, all the way to the professionalism with which the mechanical corrections were made. That word is "impressive"! This experience from beginning to end was impressive in every sense of the word! I later talked to Bert thanking him for making it right. I was about to leave with the car and bring it to my daughter. They were about to close the doors for the evening. I found Bert kicked back in the glider rocker which is in the front by the windows. He said, "Jim, my dad told me a long time ago that your reputation is the most important thing, especially in business and to protect it. I've been here for thirty years because I provide people good quality cars at a fair price and try to correct anything along the way and make sure it's right. It's the way it should be. I just want to treat people like I want to be treated. I left there knowing when I am in the market for another car myself I will make the drive to the small town of Pittsboro, NC to see what Bert and his team have on the lot. In the meantime I will tell everyone who is looking for a pre-owned car to go to Smart Cars by Wieland, Ltd. As for myself I'll be going back, just to stop in and visit once in a while. They're a great bunch of people who became my friends. Plus, I just gotta see my little buddy, Ozzie, the office pup! Do yourself a favor and make the trip to Smart Cars by Wieland in in Pittsboro, NC. I'm sure you will be just as impressed as I was.

I'd go there again

Purchased a 2012 Mazda 6 this past spring. It's been an amazing car and hasn't given me any trouble whatsoever after I've put nearly 10k miles on it. The dealer was extremely nice and fun to work with? did sense a bit of the shady sales tactics every car salesman seems to utilize, but in the end it turned out to be a great deal and I left happy.

Review of Weiland Motors in Pittsboro, NC

I purchased a Toyota Camry from Weiland Motors in Pittsboro a couple of weeks ago. I live in Pittsboro and was pleased to find an auto dealer local with a great selection of cars. I drove several before deciding and found Ashley and Ozzie to be very helpful and informative. They are not high pressure people and really work with their customers. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great used car.

Friendly service

Ashley fought for me like there was no tomorrow and even when it seemed like the end of the road she went a different way to make sure that I left with a vehicle that I really love, she fought for two full days trying to get me in a vehicle. Ashley cares about her customers so come see her and she will help you out to the fullest

Best used cars in the Piedmont!

I just purchased a Chevrolet S10 from Smart Cars. I was lucky enough to find it, and it is in such great shape.This makes the seventh vehicle my family has purchased from Smart Cars and Bert Wieland. It may be the nicest, at least to me! Whenever i'm looking for a new vehicle, I always end up with one from Smart Cars. They have the highest quality vehicles in the area and a great selection for whatever you need. In this case I needed a small truck and they had one. Last time it was a Honda Accord.They make the experience of buying a car special, and every time I have done business with the Smart Cars Dealership I end up being very impressed with the vehicles and service. Definitely buy a car from here, it will last for a long time!
