wanted to take a moment and say thank you for having Gary be part of your service team. I called your location after trying other dealership that were either not answering the phone or were put out with my issue. Right away, Gary asked and listened to what problem I was having. Not for a moment did he make me feel dumb for having a hard time explaining mechanical issues. He took the time to put me a 3 way call with the shop where my Jeep was at to get more information. In all my years of dealing with people in many different industries, this is by far the best service I have ever received. Specially in a dealership. Gary went above and beyond. He was very knowledgeable and familiar with the Jeep mechanics. He gave different options to choose from for future service. I truly appreciate him calling the other shop which saved time for me as well as your shop. He was prompt returning all my calls and being nice and friendly every time we spoke. Big thank you to Gary and a big thank you, to you for having him in your team. I will recommend your service department and I will definitely be back.

We dropped off our 2006 Ram 1500 30 days ago for warranty work and an oil change. 30 days ago. These folks want us to pay $500 for the ‘warranty’ work, which has a $100 deductible. Take your business elsewhere Y’all.

I am commending Sivol D. Black for his superior service and generosity. Today I took in my Dodge Rebel for service because the driver's side mirror was become loose. I also asked for an oil change. Mr. Black ordered the mirror required for my vehicle, changed the oil, had the tires rotated (under dealer agreement), and corrected a dealership recall, which I was not even aware of. This is the kind of service and customer care that is rarely seen in our modern day and age. Mr. Black went beyond the call of duty and treated me with the respect and compassion of an American businessman. Thank you Mr. Black. I recommend someone give Mr. Black some kind of recognition among his peers, if not a raise on his salary. R. Trujillo

The worst

I am providing my unpleasant experience with this company to help other customers if they decided to deal with them. In 07/13/2020, I was searching for a truck in the RBFCU bank website and found a suitable one in Lone Star Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership in San Antonio, it was a FORD F-150 (stock # L00848A), I checked their website and I send them an email to confirm the availability of the vehicle for purchase. A few hours later, I received an email response from “Julie”, Internet Sales Assistant, confirmed that the car is available and told me that somebody will be calling me next morning to arrange the purchase. Early in 07/14/2020, I received a phone call from a sales associate called “Johnathan Parker”, he confirmed that the car is available. I told him that I am from Austin, TX and I will be able to drive to San Antonio (90 miles away) to purchase the car the same day at 5 pm (after my work), as I can arrive there by 7 pm the same day. He said this will be great as they close at 9 pm and they will hold the truck for me. Exactly at 5:15 pm, I sent him a text message confirming that I am driving to San Antonio and the trip will take me 2 hours to arrive there by 7 pm, he replied back confirming receipt of my text and asked me to text him when I arrive the dealership at 7 pm. However, I was so tired from work and the temperature was around 106 F, I drove to San Antonio and arrive the dealership exactly at 7 pm, I texted Johnathan as planned, and he asked me to get inside and ask for his manager “Rudy”. I reached the front desk and asked for “Rudy”, after few minutes another representative came to see me (not Rudy), I told him that I am here on time to purchase the truck and I told him that everything was arranged with Jonathan. His response was like one of the most surprise I would ever face in my life, he simply said “The truck was sold”. I said what? I do not know how I was able to keep my quietness after all this long trip and after all these emails, phone calls and text messages, they simply lied to me. At this point my blood pressure went to the roof and he brought his manager and tried to say excuses that I did not even remember or listened to. I just told them that I cannot trust a bunch of liars and buy anything from them even for few dollars not for almost $20K. As I teach my kids, any one lies about a thing, he will lie about everything. I took my car and traveled back to Austin for 2 more hours, and I am not actually sure how I was able to do that while I was so upset and feel disrespected. Please stay away from those Liars as much as you can.

You should never ever shop with Lone Star Dodge Chrysler...

You should never ever shop with Lone Star Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. Not only will their finance team try to push you into a deal, but after you say no, their manager will come out and try and convince you that you should stay. When told no, they will start talking xxxx about you under their breath as they walk away. When confronted, the manager will walk up to you like he's going to beat your xxx and have to be calmed down by his lackeys by telling you to leave the lot. Avoid this place at all cost. I gave them my price range and they kept pushing it more and more expecting me to say yes. I fully admit that I have poor credit, but I was the one willing to accept that and carry on with my current vehicle. Don't waste a single minute of your time with these fear mongers. Chris was great in sales!

Nightmare

First, we went to their sister dealership, North Star Dodge, my wife and I walked around the lot for 30 minutes and even used the restroom, yet no one ever greeted us. Selection was terrible too. We then drove to Lone Star Dodge because their website advertised a 2019 Ram 1500 at a specific price. After 2.5 hours (even though I was pre-qualified) they would not honor the price. They tried getting me into used vehicles. By this time it was 9:30pm and they promised to call the next morning about a trade in. No one ever called. I had to call them 3x and contacted an internet manager who finally got someone to call me around 7pm. The salesman told me the GM wanted me to come in and work out a deal on the 19 Ram 1500. I made it clear, politely, that i didn't want to wast anyone's time, but they assured me we would work out something on the Ram. We left a family event only to sit with an assistant manager who told us Chrysler messed up the advertised price and they couldn't honor it (Corporate told me today that isn't true, it's the dealer who does their website pricing). In fact, Lone Star changed the advertised price online. I told the assistant manager I had received an email that very day stating the same truck at the former advertised sales price. They still wouldn't honor it. Not only that, but they add so many fees and service charges and they are unwilling to remove any of them. This was the absolute worst car buying experience. From customer service to transparency to honesty to honoring the advertised price it's been a nightmare.

Unprofessional, Unprepared, Dirty. DO NOT BUY HERE.

Drove 2 hours to buy a car. I've worked with hundreds of dealerships, and this is among the worst I've ever seen, on many levels. SEVERAL issues: 1) The car (a 2017 Infiniti) was well-priced, but they wouldn't honor the price I agreed on with the Internet Mgr (they said "Well that's the internet dept. We don't talk to them). When I finally got it down, they tried to add on $1400+ in add-ons. "We can't remove them. All of our cars have them already installed). They are thiefs. 2) First of all, the car was not ready to be purchased: there were mulitple mechanical issues that would cost $500+ to fix. They acted like this was no big deal, and I should just buy it and drive a loaner home while they fixed the car. Wow. And they wouldn't even lower the price to make up for it. 4) The salesperson didn't know that the car had 2 accidents. The sales manager straight up lied to my face, telling me that they were extremely minor (they weren't) and that the CarFax was wrong when it said there were 2 previous owners. I think they like to prey on stupid, uninformed car-buyers. 3) The salesperson said the car would be detailed and ready for our arrival. The car was filthy, inside and out (fast food garbage in the door sides and in the back) and it was completely out of gas. Extremely unprofessional. 4) The dealership is filthy. Old dirty stained chairs that felt gross to sit on. No waiting area (in sales or service) for my kids to wait while I tried to buy the car. I don't know how Chrsyler lets them stay open. DO NOT BUY HERE!!!
