CarMax Schaumburg

i am not happy with this vehicle today the car started smoking when i tool my daughter to school i do not feel safe drinking this car

I have been having trouble with this car since i purchased it. today 9/25 my car was smoking when i took my daughter to school and now the check engine light is on. i dont feel safe driving this car

I’ll keep it short. Ultimately I bought the car because I needed a car but the pictures online were extremely deceiving. There was a bunch a damage around the car and a small crack in the windshield. They didn’t do anything to help out with the dents and scratches on the car. They just washed it as if that would fix it. The sales person was nice but come on Carmax. Stop doing this to people. The pictures online were very detailed but didn’t show any dents or scratches so it obviously happened after the pictures unless you uploaded old photos. Either way very shady. Do better. In this day and age it’s so hard to find honest people and dealerships. I’m human just like you. I work just like you. So understand my frustration. Like I said before I ultimately bought the car because I needed a car that day. Again the sales lady was amazing. Could’ve asked for a better person to work with. I know she’s just doing her job. She made the experience better and improvised well to make us feel better about the purchase. Great listener. She explained things well but I feel taken advantage of. Dios te bendiga.

I am so happy with the car we bought from CarMax! We experienced great care by our agent. The car was in excellent condition Too. I am proud to recommend CarMax to my friends!

Bought a car from here in December 2024….after 1 day of having the car a check engine light came on for the torque converter and needed a new transmission, eventually I was set up with a loaner which was a Honda Civic, drove it to work that day and when I got off work the starter had gone out and engine wouldn’t crank. Got the car back eventually and after just 3000 miles the transmission blew and was out of service again. Chris from the service department was great to work with however and kept in communication with me so I will give him props there, however I cannot in good faith recommend you purchasing a car from the Schaumburg location. Also I changed the cabin air filter in the car 1 month into having it and the old one was littered with debris clearly they do not do the “thorough inspection” that CarMax advertises. If you chose CarMax go check out Glenview or Algonquin or any of the surrounding ones that’s not Schaumburg.
