WASTE OF TIME! STAY AWAY FROM THESE IDIOTS

WASTE OF TIME! Dont be fooled with pre-approval and when you get there different managers dont have a clue and say different things needed when in fact the actual bank lender already accepted and approved. They obviously dont want to sell you a car unless they make money off your tradein and down payment because its a joke.

DISAPPOINTMENT PERSONIFIED

I had been watching a blue Genesis G70 with low miles and decided on Sunday, (08/30/20), after assurances from a telephone call that the pictures on the website were actual pictures of the car, to fly from California to Vegas and check the car out, with the intention to purchase the vehicle. I made an appointment for 11am on the 31st to see it. My initial impression was not good. The sales person, "Troy", acted as if I were someone who walked into a convenience store to buy a pack of gum. After about a 15 minute wait, I was taken out to view and test drive the G70. The car was completely covered with water spots with heavy mineral deposits. It hadn't been washed or vacuumed! Really?! A potential customer flies out, pays for hotel and your store can't even wash and vacuum the vehicle?! ASININE!!!

Beautiful photos belie poor condition of vehicle

Came across a 2017 Genesis G90 for sale at Carmax in Henderson, NV. Though I live in Phoenix I decided to purchase the vehicle based on the beautiful photos and claims by Carmax of its pristine condition. However, when I arrived in Henderson I was dismayed to find that the vehicle interior and exterior had numerous gouges and scratches along with several very noticeable dents in the rear passenger door. Interestingly, the photos on Cars.com showed none of these defects. I elected to purchase the vehicle based on assurances from the sales management that the car would be remediated by the Gilbert, AZ Carmax facility. Today I brought the car to Carmax in Gilbert. Long story short they accomplished nothing, insisting that the door dents were within the acceptable range for the vehicle. Perhaps dents are acceptable them. They are most certainly not acceptable to me. Instead of the glowing image they project, I was disgusted to find that Carmax displays all the ugly and irritating cliches associated with used car dealers. I'll not be patronizing them again.

Satisfied Buyer for a 6th time.

This is my 6th BMW purchase d from this CarMax. Because of the Pandemic, this process is a little bit hectic. Lots of steps now to complete the purchase. The employees have to work a lot more to protect both the Buyer as well as the CarMax employees. I waited around a lot before I was able too complete my purchased. I was ok with that though as it was done for my safety. I would still come back again for any further purchases. The end result sent me home with my new 2016 BMW M5. I’m happy. Thank You!!

poor customer service

Went in they actually found us the perfect vehicle within minutes of arrival. We asked to compare to another vehicle. As the dealer pulled up the second vehicle he informed us another customer was buying the first vehicle. Then asked if we could wait to see if they actually were approved. They never took our phone number or acted like they wanted to help us find another vehicle. I'll never do business with them.

High prices and low trade in.

If you go to any carmax and know anything about cars you will walk out in under 10 minutes. I have tried 3 times to buy a car from them in every case I had to walk away. They will lowball you on your trade-in and make up lame excuses for why YOUR car is worth less than KBB value. When it comes to THEIR vehicle though they want high book or more and use the weak "no haggle price" excuse for not working with you. In every case I ended up trading in the same car for around $2000 more elsewhere. The other thing with the vehicles they sell is that many "well over half" of whats on the lot are former rental cars. They will dodge you asking for a carfax on these or give you a partial one. Never dealt with the financing first hand but I have talked to many who have been burned there also. If you buy from them be ready to leave about $2-3K on the table minimum.

You must be kidding!

I can't believe people buy cars from this place! One walk through the lot and I found 3 that still had painters masking tape on the nose after being painted, and the paint jobs were horrible! Head lights on some were oxidized and clouded. There was even a car in the SHOW ROOM that was leaking oil! How stupid must we all be to walk into this place! I had some young kid there follow me around and ask a bunch of questions after I told him to leave me alone. What are they teaching their employees? Maybe they should teach them how to clean some cars.
