Sloppy work. Disreguard for customer?s time. Lack of customer service. Not willing to work with me after they got paid.

Failing to inform customer....

Service was good overall, what service I asked to be completed was completed. But during 18-point inspection I was alerted that my engine air filter was filthy and needed changing. Mind you GM recommends that part be changed every 10,000-12,000 miles, now I did not know that at the time of my service nor did my service advisor provide me with that information, I discovered it on my own. But I've owned my car since 2018 and only have had it serviced at Todd Wenzel Chevrolet Hudsonville, and I have never been told to change this part by your service team in the past, which means you've either had service techs not actually perform the 18-point inspection as they would have noticed its condition prior to this service or failing to notify the customer in order to ensure you are giving your best service to the customer so they want to come back. I've since took my Equinox elsewhere to get engine air filter replaced at a fraction of the price your service department wanted for replacement. And am considering taking my Equinox elsewhere based on this review as well.

Service review on a oil change.

Very good service and on time. I was shown the old cabin filter when taken out and why I needed a new one.

Terrible Customer Service

My car sat for 106 days (the fourth time) getting repaired, and was completely neglected by the dealership. Again, this was the 4th time for them fixing the same issue. I’m baffled as to why their technicians couldn’t solve this the first three times? Leaking gaskets and seals around transmission and transfer case housing on a 2017 Equinox 40k miles. It was returned to me with a dead battery, rust and pitting on the rotors and brakes (which they used a wire brush to “clean up”) and a bad windshield wiper despite them being brand new on arrival of the car way back in September. After finally getting the car back and dealing with the many headaches of this debacle (escalating the case to the district representative), I had to drive directly to AutoZone and spend $260 on additional expenses including the aforementioned items. Oh, and make sure you don’t turn your vehicle off between the dealership and AutoZone because it might not turn back on I’m told. Mind you, it’s 10° outside and I have my one year-old child and wife in the vehicle. I maintain my cars in amazing condition, and this vehicle was returned to me after nearly 4 months, in the worst shape it’s ever been. If the car is going to sit there that long, at least take the battery out and put it on a battery tender, or start it up and drive it weekly. They said it was my fault, because the battery was original to the vehicle, although it had a great charge and was working fine before going in to their shop. I can assure you it went bad because you let it sit unattended in subzero temps for months on end. Please, for their sake, develop a better system to maintain your future customers’ vehicles. I’ve had such a terrible experience that I would recommend steering very clear of this dealership! They are very hard to deal with, and at times hard to get ahold of regarding the status of your vehicle. Go elsewhere for service if possible. They just do not treat their customers with the respect they deserve, and cut corners wherever possible. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I thought this one was worth my time. * After leaving this review on Google, I was contacted by Chevrolet customer assistance whom I was working with, and asked to never returned to Todd Wenzel again! Not that I would ever go back there, but what kind of dealership says that to its customer!? Such a terrible experience all around. Shop elsewhere.

Check selling price before signing contract

3 times they added $1000 to selling price when final papers were being presented to us. They read all the figures to you but skip selling price. We caught them each time. Had to argue over it until the $1000 was taken off. Check your selling price on your contract.

Service at Todd Wenzel in Hudsonville, MI

I take my 2016 GMC 2500HD in for normal diesel maintenance at least once a year. I mentioned to the service writer to have them check the air filter because I didn't think it was ever replaced. Not to my surprise, they determined it was really dirty and replaced it. You'd think every time I take it in, they'd check that. Sure I recommend this dealer to a friend with the caveat to tell the dealer to do a proper maintenance/safety check!! I ordered and purchased this truck from Todd Wenzel in Grand Rapids, MI but have it serviced in Hudsonville because it's much closer.

A/C diagnostic

I brought my wife?s car in because the driver side wasn?t blowing cold air while AC was running. It was cool air, but not as cold as the passenger side. $350 for diagnostic, which ok, I?d expect that from a dealer. However, when they returned the car, the entire car blew out hot air. They pulled all the remaining coolant out and now I?m forced to either pay the $2100 repair cost or go all summer with hot air blowing from the vents?2017 Acadia with a family of five! I called back and asked and his response was, well there is a small leak, it would?ve leaked out eventually anyways. Strong armed!

Car maintenance

My experience this time was great. I come here often but sometimes they are extremely busy. So I try to find a less busy time. 5 stars
