One happy customer

Everyone I came in contact with at the dealership was very friendly. I was helped in a timely manner as David was very attentive to my needs without being pushy at all. He was extremely helpful in locating the exact vehicle that I wanted, that was at another dealership. I was given all of the available options with no pressure to choose any one of them. The vehicle was priced farily and the sale went very smoothly. All the papers were signed on Saturday and on Monday it was ready for delivery. I was communicated with several times on the day of delivery, informing me where the car was and what was being done. The last call was to let me know when I could get the car. The car was washed, filled up with gas and ready for me with all the features that I had requested. David spent a lot of time making sure I was comfortable with the features of the car. I could not have had a more pleasant purchase experience and would recommend this dealership to anyone.

Not One, But TWO

My husband and I were in the market for a car to replace his (because I could not learn how to drive a straight drive!). When he walked into the dealership and talked to Gary, he explained exactly what he wanted and what he could afford. Within the hour, we had 3 cars to look at. That afternoon we purchased our Cadillac--an amazing car! The next week we decided we wanted something for our teen daughter. Of course, we went to Gary again and now our daughter is so excited about her Chevy Cobalt. I have never been to a dealership where the people were so friendly and receptive without being overbearing. In the past we have purchased a car and it took over 5 hours to process everything. Not at Friendly--the service was fast and delivered exactly what we wanted. So now, we have not one car but TWO!

Great Experiences

I have made 3 auto purchases with this dealer over the years. Having dealt with 3 different salesmen there are two constants - always straight-forward and and friendly. I have been happy with price, which is very easy to back check - in the internet age. The price will be fair for what you purchase. People in this dealership are always easy to spend time with, over the years from service/ to sales /to support. Their word is good on any service agreements that are part of a used car sales purchases.

I'm not easy to please.

I'm afraid I'm a bit hard to please when car shopping. I demand a good price, decent trade on my old car, knowledgable staff and efficient use of my time. After 51 car purchases, I found a dealer that I actually trust to give me a great buying experience. I've purchased 2 cars from Friendly in a little more than a year. No sneaky add-ons, no huge admin fee - no games. For out of towners, like me, it's important to be able to deal with a dealer that will honor the phone agreement when you show up. Friendly's business model works for me. If you haven't dealt with a small town dealer like Friendly, you are in for a treat.

Never an experience like this

5 21 2012 TO: Don Odom, Owner Friendly Chevrolet-Buick Troy, NC FROM: Fred Ford Martinsville, VA RE: Our recent transaction Dear Mr. Odom, We, my wife and I, recently bought one of your Certified Pre-owned vehicles from your dealership. I'm writing to tell you that I'll be 63 years old this year. In my life I've purchased 22 vehicles (when we talked on the phone I believe I told you 11; I'd forgotten the ones prior to getting married, 41 years ago.) My purpose in writing is to tell you that I've never experienced the sincere, genuiness, and kindness all this with zero, I repeat, zero, pressure from any of your employees. This includes from my first contact, through internet sales, through Joey, Billy, and Howard, who deliverd our car. I encountered folks who it seems like I've known all my life. I pleased to tell you that you could not have chosen a better name for your business. The friendliness there is unmistakable. Ie never felt this satisfied buying a car or anything else Ie had as a major purchase. My normal first thing to do, after purchasing a car, is remove the dealer decal off the back of the car. I wasn getting paid by the dealer to advertise and the frustration of buying the car left me empty. I leaving your decal on. We are satisfied with everything about this transaction. You, sir, and your employees have our trust. I hope youl understand this, this trust isn something youe earned; rather, it something that was being offered by you and your employees to us, the customer, throughout the entire transaction. Excellent Dealer

I just had to write a review of this dealer, even though I didn't buy from them. They were so easy to work with! They didn't fill me full of crap and were very up-front with the process of buying online. I am from out-of-state and they made the process effortless. They treated me like I live down the street. I would recommend dealing with these folks without hesitation.

Easiest time I have ever had buying a car

I found my 2008 Corvette on cars.com and all emails were responded to quickly by the BEST no pressure salesperson....Rick Holmes. Deal was pretty much 90% complete over phone and email since I lived over an hour drive away. Once at the showroom my vette was ready, detailed with a full tank of gas and ready to go. It was exactly as described (better really than the pics online) and I was very happy. No bull and no talking in circles from the dealer. Rick told me he best number and that was it and they stood by it. He was a straight shooter. Closing the deal was quick and easy...in and out in a couple hours with my "new" car. Oh yeah...I looked for hours on the internet to find a similar Vette for cheaper NATIONWIDE....there were none. Could have saved alot of time by going here first. Great job guys. Keep up the good work and I would highly recommend to anyone to come see you.....Steve

Friendly Chevrolet/Buick in Troy, N.C.

This dealership, from the owner, who I met, to my individual sales consultant, were all very professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and yes, friendly, during the entire buying process. Only after looking for, calling, and eventually driving to several other dealerships in two different states to look for the "right" vehicle, and finding them all to be grossly misrepresented, did I find Friendly Chevrolet/Buick. Being extremely skeptical, I called Friendly, to inquire about a very nice LOOKING truck that they had in stock at a great price. After explaining my experiences to my "sales guy" Woody, he actually walked to the vehicle with his personal cell phone and gave me a full account of the vehicle and answered my many questions. Again, he actually walked to the vehicle to describe it! Still skeptical, I drove the nearly 100 mile trip to look at the vehicle. I could not have been more shocked to see that the vehicle was described perfectly, if not under estimated. Not only was this vehicle in great condition , both cosmetically and mechanically, but the price actually stayed at the low low price that was advertised. I bought the vehicle without any hesitation or doubt. To find a car dealership that is honest and fair about the vehicles they sell is truly a difficult task, but I have found that dealership. It is in Troy, N.C. This is the reason I will buy my next vehicle here. Save yourself some time, stress, and gas, and buy it at Friendly Chevrolet/Buick in Troy, N.C. Trust me.

I knew no one at this dealership before making an inquiry on a used 2005 Chevrolet Suburban offered for sale on autotrader. I've never had such a terrific transaction and accurately described vehicle as i had with Friendly Chev, Jeff Alspaugh in particular. I am so pleased that the vehicle i bought and they shipped to me was even better than I expected.
