Great Experience

This was my first experience purchasing a new vehicle. My 2015 GMC Sierra was a lease and the process was effortless. I attempted to get the truck, set up the manner in which I wanted and was told I could not do it as requested at two other dealerships. Weirs Motor Sales not only allowed me to get the truck the way I wanted, they advised me in such a manner that I could get to the payment I wanted. In a society in which it is hard to bestow trust on someone I can say that was not the case at Weirs. Should you be in the market for a new or used truck, contact Pete Gonnevile at Weirs. He'll treat you right.

don't bother using the Shop-Click-Drive online tool

I recently used the Shop-Click-Drive online tool with Weirs and found the resource to be grossly inaccurate. During the process, I read all of the fine print and was well aware that my trade-in value shown on Shop-Click-Drive was an estimate only, but after being required to drive to the dealership to assess my vehicle (they would not come to me), I learned that the actual trade-in value was over 25% less than the value shown on Shop-Click-Drive. I believe this tool is used as a sales "gimic" (at best) to get the potential buyer into the dealership. I feel my time was wasted at Weirs and wanted to share this experience with others.

I received from Weirs Motor Sales a check on that same day i

As a woman, I have always felt intimidated at a car dealership. Like many I suffered from the perception that any transaction in a dealership would be negative. So in an attempt to stay away from such a scenario, I began privately trying to sell my vehicle. Frustrated at my responses and possible buyers I finally said enough. I reached out to Weirs Motor Sales, Inc. and asked them what they would offer me for my vehicle. Their email response was immediate and fair so I went in to see them. I met with David Belliveau, their Sales Manager who within 15 minutes offered me more than their initial quote. I received from Weirs Motor Sales a check on that same day in the same amount I was selling my car for on Craig’s List – No Hassle, No Problem, No Intimidation! I actually had to ask David is this it – is this all I have to do? David responded yes that’s it and smiled! I would recommend this dealership to anyone and everyone. They are courteous, timely, ethical and above all there to make your experience with them perfect! I know mine was. Thank you Weirs Motor Sales, Inc. From the start this expierence was doomed , this dealership share a used ar line up with a ford dealership , as i was at the ford dealership looking at the truck i was interisted in i called my salesman , he said to bring my truck up to his office so he could take a look at it , i did so thinking he must be busy , no so he was actually walking through the parking lot with a small boy ( bring your kid to work day ) i have 3 children as well but i out of respect do not bring them to a car dealership where i plan on spending 25+ thousand dollars , needless to say i brough my truck up to his office and he proceded to do a half assed apprasal , all the while this 5 year old kid was running around the office interupting and being obnoxious ! After about 20 min of this he then makes me drive my truck back down to the truck i was i teristed while he and this child sat in the front seat for the ride down , now while getting the keys for the truck i was interisted in he fids out that another customer is also interisted in the vehicle and i over hear this and offer to put a deposit down to hold the truck , he refuses , allows me to test drive the truck , on my return i again offer to either A. Buy the truck right then , or B place a deposit on the truck , pete says not to worry about it and says we can wrap everything up In the morning , the next morning i have to call him 3 times only for him to tell me that the oter customer placed a deposit on the truck the night befor and its gone , but he MAY have another crew cab avail and he would call me right back , well in the time it took this super salemen to call me back i went to a real dealership and delt with a real salesman and bought atruck i wanted for a price i wanted in less then 2 hours ! Pete has yet to call me back and the truck i was origanally interisted in is still on the lot for sale 4 days Later !!

Dealer response

Mr. Phelps, Again, I am very sorry about your dissatisfaction with the Denali. I called you in November of the previous year and had you come to the dealership with a list of things you were unhappy with. We addressed and fixed, where necessary, the entire list at no cost to you. With regards to the engine noise, we printed out the General Motors Bulletin that states the noise is not a knock and does not effect the enigne mechanically and we had our Certified Service Technician explain the bulletin to you. You informed us that you had brought the truck to another facility and had the same diagnostic results. Still, we understand being uncomfortable with an engine noise and we collectively decided to trade you out of the vehicle. Our sales manager offered to give you everything you paid for the Denali less the new mileage and we spoke with our General Motors Representative who attained for you a considerable amount of funding towards a new vehicle. You test drove vehicles that you were interested in for extended amounts of time and we informed you that we could get you into those vehicles at the about same monthly payment. We were able to get you into a particular vehicle you showed interested in for a lowered monthly payment and included in the deal was a substantial check for the trade difference. Unfortunately, you have declined all of our offers. We are very sorry that you do not love your truck and we would like nothing more than to get you into a vehicle you are happy with. You are always more than welcomed to visit us so that we may continue to work with you. Sincerely, Mandy Grenier Customer Care

Bought a 2010 low mileage 1/2 ton crew cab had nothing but problems since week 1. truck spent as much time in service as it did in my driveway. 3 attempts were made to fix with 3 failures and then dealer wanted to give me less money back even though vehicle had issues within first 10 days. my salesman was good but everything else about the dealership was sub par. I will never return to dealer nor will any friends or family as long as I have any say in the matter. definitely dissapointed . This dealership experience was the worst I have ever dealt with and strengthened my dislike for buying vehicles.

I had my front brakes (rotors and pads) replaced by Colony Buick in Watertown, MA. Returned to dealer on 4 separate occasions with unsatisfactory results with pulsating issues not resolved. I made an appointment with Weirs GMC in Arundel, ME after being frustrated with Colony Buick. The service manager, Bob Driscoll reviewed all the service records and repaired by brakes by properly identifying the problem (improper cutting of rear rotors and manufacturing defect with front rotors) and also gave me a loaner at no charge while my vehicle was being repaired. The service department, led by Bob Driscoll, at Weirs GMC is excellent and would recommend this service department for anyone looking for great and competent service on their vehicle.
