Thought the sales process was pretty good with the
Thought the sales process was pretty good with the salesman following up diligently on the service record which was not complete in Carfax and getting a slight price break on the car. He stayed late on a Saturday to get the deal done and while out for the next couple of days, he followed up and got the closing in motion. However as finance got involved, I thought things proceeded too slowly and that the process the dealership was following for a remote sale were inefficient and repetitive. Penske should invest in re-engineering how they execute remote transactions and develop better, more automated, workflows Not the individuals fault, rather the tools and work flows they are using. A GUI, an insurance card and your Arizona driver’s license should be all you need to fill in and produce all the paperwork instantly. So a bit more thoughtful investment and automation would help their employees productivity and the customer experience. In sum, a good but not great experience.

Bought a Certfied Pre Owned from BMW North Scottsdale.
Bought a Certfied Pre Owned from BMW North Scottsdale. Took it in for first scheduled oil change and was told that front control arm bushing was worn. Needs replaced as it is a safety issue. So sounds like nobody ever looked at the front suspension during the CPO process. Not sure what they "certified". Maybe they certified that the cupholders worked. Told that the GM would be contacting me. Crickets!!!! I'm sure some marketing/customer service rep will post a canned response responding to my post, for others to see, from the GM saying he will contact me. Not holding my breath based on past responsiveness.

Certified Pre Owned at BMW North Scottsdale is a scam.
Certified Pre Owned at BMW North Scottsdale is a scam...don't pay extra! Bought a CPO X7 this past year and took it in after 10k miles for an oil change. Service adviser says it needs over $1,000 of repairs to replace spark plugs, filters, etc. Told him that it was CPO and that the salesman said all of those things were replaced during the CPO process and the car was "like new". Total lie!!! Service adviser said that they only make sure that service is up to date on the vehicle...if its due to have filters, spark plugs, belts, hoses, brakes, cooling system, etc serviced or replaced a month or 1,000 miles after you purchase it then it is your responsibility. So essentially you get new tires on a CPO...and not much more...except a bunch of xx about how the vehicle is like new. Not saying that you shouldn't buy a BMW. Just saying that you shouldn't pay anything more than the cost of new tires for a CPO....and never, ever, ever believe the salesman!
