Misleading pricing and trade-in promises I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with Purdy Hyundai on September 7–8, 2026. The vehicle’s original sales price was $25,500. On September 7, both the salesperson and finance manager guaranteed me a reduced price of $25,000 before any further negotiation. They also guaranteed that the $498 documentation fee would be removed. I was told they would give me $19,000 for my trade-in, with the possibility of increasing it to $20,000 with the general manager’s approval. Before I left that first day, the finance manager specifically told me, “Don’t worry, we are not the kind of dealership that would tell you one price and then go back on it later.” Before I returned the next day, the salesperson texted me that the general manager had approved a sales price of $21,458. However, when I arrived, I was presented with the original $25,500 price, no discount, and a trade-in offer of only $17,000. This was completely different from what I had been promised in person and told over text. When I showed them the text messages and explained these discrepancies, I was told they did not remember the full conversation. I repeatedly asked to speak directly with a manager, but no manager came out. After leaving, I called and specifically requested a manager, yet I was redirected to the same salesperson and told every manager was busy. Based on my experience, I felt misled simply to get me back into the dealership. The worst part was being reassured that they would not quote one price and later go back on it—only for that to be exactly what happened. The lack of transparency, accountability, and direct communication from management was extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend this dealership unless you are willing to be lied to, deceived, and have your time wasted all for the possibility of making a sale.

★☆☆☆☆ (1/1) - Misleading pricing, broken promises, and zero accountability I had a deeply disappointing experience with Purdy Hyundai on September 7–8, 2026. This dealership uses textbook bait-and-switch tactics and completely lacks integrity. On September 7, both my salesperson and finance manager explicitly guaranteed a reduced price of $25,000 (down from $25,500), promised to drop the $498 doc fee, and quoted my trade-in at $19,000–$20,000. Before I left, the finance manager literally told me: "Don't worry, we are not the kind of dealership that would tell you one price and then go back on it later." The next day, the salesperson texted me confirming the general manager approved an even lower price of $21,458. Yet when I walked back into the showroom, they handed me paperwork for the full $25,500 original price, no discount, and dropped my trade-in offer to $17,000. When I showed them the text messages proving what I was promised, they suddenly claimed they "didn't remember" the full conversation. I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager, but not a single manager had the decency to come out and address me. When I called after leaving, I was routed right back to the same salesperson and told every manager was "busy." It is clear they made promises they had no intention of keeping just to manipulate me into coming back onto the lot. To be directly promised honesty by management—only for them to pull the exact opposite—is unacceptable. Save yourself the headache and take your business to a dealership that respects its customers.
